What can I say, misery loves company, and I couldn't let you all (or more like me), suffer alone.

(also tried to multi-quote, but apparently 4 is too many at one time, I'll have to get on the admins about that)

I feel better already.

Maybe it's the beer.

Welcome back dude, stick around for awhile.

In the AL, only one first baseman has more DRS than Mauer (who has six).  Moreland is the AL leader in DRS for AL 1Bs with 8, but he also has 130 more innings played there.  Mauer IS tied with Davis with 6, who has 320 more IP there.

2016 home runs...

David Ortiz - 31

Brian Dozier - 31

So you're saying Dozier will definitely be hitting as many HR's as Ortiz when he's 40? For the Red Sox

AL 1B Doubles Rebuffed by the Shift is a pretty esoteric stat to quote, but also, fun.

(I know that it's Defensive Runs Saved. I think.)

In the last month (8/6 - 9/6) the Twins have gone 7-23 while allowing 220 runs. TWO HUNDRED TWENTY. Over seven runs per game.

They gave up double digit runs in NINE of those thirty games.

Of course everything looks bad if you remember it.

I just saw a new Statcast stat on MLB Now. It's called percentage of "Barrels" allowed, and not surprisingly, two Twins top the list: Tyler Duffey and Hector Santiago at 6.7% and 6.2%. 3rd place was at 5.6%. Just another stat to show us how bad the pitching was this year.
