Berrios has a no-no thru 5

Based on Meyer's erratic 2015, I'd make sure he's consistent for a month before considering him, unless there's an injury.

Berrios is up whenever a rotation spot opens, even through demotion or injury.

Is there any innings limit on Meyer this year? (Not that it matters now.)

He should be on the plane with Terry Ryan back to Minneapolis.  He can take Milone's next start.  I still have Berrios ahead of Meyer in the call-up race

Heh...  I'd give Ryan the middle seat between the two of 'em!

Both Milone and Nolasco have to be aware of what's percolating down in Rochester.  Nolasco so far has put the spurs in and done his business.  Milone might be back to looking good in AAA shortly.  I would think Gibby should be on notice, too, and maybe even Hughes.

Ryan will wait until he has a bad outing so he can say he needs to be more consistent.

Berrios belonged in the rotation to start the season, spring training means absolutely nothing. He didn't suddenly get better in 2 weeks in aaa.

I really doubt Ryan is in Rochester to watch Berrios. This is what most people thought late in August last year when Berrios was pitching so well and our bullpen needed so much help, but then Achter and Tonkin got the call instead.

My only concern is with the 1.30 WHIP Berrios had going into today. That is unlikely to get better in MLB and can lead to a lot of runs. Milone's current WHIP is 1.37. Meyer's WHIP is 0.865.

I don't believe a move will be made before Milone gets another start. We'll see how the numbers change.

Remember, if Meyer has finally found himself that would really be special. He has more raw talent than anyone we've had since Johan Santana. (IMHO)

Beerios is at .93 now. Duffey's is above 1.40.

Milone's ERA of 5.87 is not good, but his WHIP of 1.37 ranks third among the starters. I wonder what conclusions we might draw from that.  http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/teams/stats/MIN/minnesota-twins/regularseason/PIT-BASIC/yearly?&_1:col_1=18&_1:col_2=18

I would love to see young guys come up, but wonder whether Milone is worth keeping.

He's given up 4 home runs in 15 innings which probably accounts for the higher era without a super high whip.

I think Milone is worth keeping, just not in the rotation, I'd send O'Rourke down and move Milone into the long relief role.

This was my thought as well, which is why I said Berrios should be on the plane now.  A spot will open up for Meyer soon enough.

I'm delusional, so I'm hoping Ryan was in Rochester to watch Pawtucket's catcher, Blake Swihart. Boston might get nervous about its rotation and maybe Ryan can dangle Ervin the Cheater and all the rest of the rotation out there. Boston can afford big contracts, and they have a stocked minor league system. At any rate, if I'm the GM, I'm sticking with the five for a few more starts, hoping they are all improving their trade value, and I've got a price in mind for every one of them, because none of them are even remotely close to being indispensable.

Let's hope your delusion of Ryan trading for Swihart is true. That would be sweet.
