formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Intentionally walk Arcia to face Escobar?
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I'll-fitting Rain poncho was an interesting choice for the pitching coach there. Considering they're indoors and all. twinsnorth49 and David HK 2
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 8 straight balls get you pulled. No questions asked.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Okay, so, Sano goes opposite...wall.Obviously, I do not have the same psychic ability as chitown. USAFChief 1
Danchat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 C'mon, Oswaldo... Grand Slam time!!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 That's what you get for swinging after 8 straight balls.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 That's the end of the line, folks. Everyone off the bandwagon. Evvvvvvveryone off. Don't twist an ankle, now, be careful, it's a bit crowded, but EVERYone must get off. DiscGolfer, Riverbrian, David HK and 3 others 6
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 There is just no way you swing at that first pitch Aggies7 1
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 There's no other swing for Arcia other than try to launch it into outer space.
mnsportsgeek Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 If you didn't predict that strike out, you have more optimism than I. Riverbrian 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Whatta ya do with a Sano with three balls? Walk him and pitch to the Arcia. HEY-yo! Riverbrian and Blake 2
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 C'mon, Oswaldo... Grand Slam time!!You should have encouraged him to make contact. Riverbrian and Danchat 2
Linus Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Do you think the advance scouts are noting a little something about fastballs up in the zone to Arcia? He has no chance.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 A little OT so excuse me for doing this in a GT...but I was thinking about this earlier. What year from 02-10 do you think the twins had the best chance at at least making the series?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 There's no other swing for Arcia other than try to launch it into outer space. He's been going the opposite way really well lately, just making solid contact, and he's been rewarded with a starting job. He hits a homerun and ... he tries to launch a grandslam the next time up. I think, though, that Arcia is figuring it out. Next time in that situation maybe he won't swing for outer space.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I'm not that bothered by the first pitch swing. Figure that the pitcher's gonna throw a get-me-over fastball. But a controlled swing might have been a better option than the 500' HR swing. ScrapTheNickname, Riverbrian and USAFChief 3

Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Sooo looking forward to this evening's ph park bang.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 If I had a dollar for every time this franchise left the bases loaded, I'd be swimming Scrooge McDuck style in my basement of gold coins. If we weren't playing in an NL park and the bench wasn't already short, I'd have sat Arcia for that at-bat. But then, someone probably told him to go after that first pitch after 8 straight balls.
