ashbury Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Don't tell me the name. Lemme guess: Split Happens?Nope. "Bowl Movement."Good God, straight lines about bowling? You're just lobbing them down the middle, aren't you, Bombo?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I'd like to think you were saving this for when I showed up, but I know that's vanity talking... http://arbitrarynonsense.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/No-Country-for-Old-Men-Ending-Ellis.jpg

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Why no pinch runner for Nunez? Is he that fast?I imagine Molitor's thinking is "he's fast enough". And really, I can't fault that thinking. Nunez is red hot; you don't want to pull that guy because you have a guy that's even faster on the bench.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Just giving you a hard time. What's up with that. Your making me believe I took 8 hits of acid. I'm freaked out!

Dozier's Glorious Hair Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Why no pinch runner for Nunez? Is he that fast? He's plenty fast enough. Sometimes the other team just makes a great play.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I thought Nunez was going to make it. Ortega just made a great throw and got him. Sending Nunez home was the right call.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 oh boy, bring in the guy with the 15.00 era
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 And of course, in the midst of all that foul talk, the old timer can still crack a smile. This is illegal... right?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Sano makes that play. / but so did Plouffe
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 He's plenty fast enough. Sometimes the other team just makes a great play.Yep. If it takes a perfect throw to get a guy at the plate, then you tip your cap to the defender and get on with your day.

Nunez is red hot; you don't want to pull that guy because you have a guy that's even faster on the bench.maybe, but it's not like Escobar is doing poorly and there's only two innings left. and the LF fielded that ball in very short LF. Like 15-20 feet from the IF dirt. Wasn't a tough throw unless you're Revere. :-)
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hey, you gotta go for it there. This is the Twins' season in a nutshell. So close, yet so far. One of my top ten favorite sports headlines. Phillie's middle relief couldn't hold the lead to turn it over to the closer, and some Phillie beat writer went with "A Lidge Too Far".
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Sano makes that play. / but so did PlouffeNot even on MLB 2K16.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 DFA that soul patch, my man.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 maybe, but it's not like Escobar is doing poorly and there's only two innings left.I don't know either way, but I'd bet Nunez is faster than Escobar.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 This is illegal... right? I'm sure I'll be hit with infraction points sooner or later.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 maybe, but it's not like Escobar is doing poorly and there's only two innings left.Nunez will probably bat again and he's safe without a perfect throw. And I'm not sure Escobar is faster than Nunez... Which means you punch run Buxton, lose him, and Nunez is also out of the game. The bench is depleted for very little reason.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I give credit to Provus too. Exciting call if though the wrong result. If it was Johnny G making that call you would have heard "Nunez is rounding third and gonna score and tie the game! "and the throw home.... OUT!"
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Not even on MLB 2K16.Actually I was serious about that'un. I saw him do it last season. He can make the excellent play coming in, then act like he's afraid of the ball on more normal plays.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 oh boy, bring in the guy with the 15.00 era "It ain't gettin' any lower on the bench!", said the bullpen coach, slapping the pitcher on the back. Then he turned away, clenching his fists so hard his fingernails drew blood.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 DFA that soul patch, my man.Disconcur. Keep the soul patch as a souvenir, DFA the rest of him.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Good job, Molly, you used O'Rourke correctly.
