I would love to sit around and have beers and talk baseball with Cuddy

Just thinking the same thing. John, Seth et al, invite him as a special guest at one of the future events, please.

yeah, the radio guys made it sound like they weren't strikes. Is that what you saw? Because I guarantee the smattering of boos weren't directed at Park :)

strike two was borderline.  Nipped the upper inside corner.  Strike three was definitely a strike.

The 3-1 pitch was pretty questionable.

I am big on Rosario, but he has to start turning things around. The traits that I like about him are becoming his enemy. (Sense of belonging in the MLB and his Cocksureness)

He does not look good at the plate at all.

So far, he is cock of nothing.

Arcia takes a walk, then he makes a good play in left field (good positioning, good jump, nothing spectacular). I'm liking the new Arcia.

Still needs a haircut.

I missed the play  Which one you talking about?

They looked like balls to me. Just outside the strike zone. You can they're trying to cut down on their strikeouts.

the radio guys didn't say much about the third strike but the second strike sounded like a bad call.

So my uncle works at the desk in a big fancy hotel, and he was telling me a frightening story last night.

He got a call from a guy on the 23rd floor, and the guy was  frantically yelling into the phone "I need help!  HELLLPPPPPP!!  My wife says if I don't stop arguing with her she's going to jump out the window!"

My uncle says he told the guy "Hang on!  I'll get the police there as quickly as I can!"

There was this long pause on the phone, and the guy said, "No.  Not the police.  Send the maintenance staff.  I can't get the dang window open!"

According to the replay, strike two was at the absolute top of the zone on the inside corner. That pitch almost never gets called a strike, especially off-speed.

Does that mean an umpire shouldn't call a pitch that nips the strike zone a strike?

It means the actual strike zone isn't a rectangle. The high outside and high inside corners seldom get called and the top of the zone overall is not called even half the time.

As always with these judgment calls, consistency is what you look for.

In my case, it also means the rectangle on the screen doesn't necessarily represent the strike zone, nor does the little ball superimposed on it represent where the  baseball crossed the strike zone.

After watching Arcia the last 2 games. Although it won't bode well for our OF defense. Buxton or Rosario might be in deep ****.

Hardly. Whatchamacallit Is the Best Candy Bar. I vehemently object to the defilement of your sacred member title.
