stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Glad to see Murphy starting back-to-back games despite his slow start hitting. Buxton has been nursing the sore hand, so by default Rosario is in CF. All of yesterday's HR hitters are back plus Nuñez, so Escobar sits.
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Two ground balls that could have double plays. A very poorly played ball in right field. This is a really bad defense and the Angels found the two weakest spots on defense in the first inning.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Joe's still hitting the ball well I see.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 It's do-nothing Sunday for me today. What better way for than that but to watch the Twins ... Was going to say 'watch the Twins win' but didn't want to jinx it.But don't you already know the outcome?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 OK, Gibson is the scapegoat for now. Blame him for the leadoff walk and Pujols long homer, but if they turn one of the grounders into a DP, they are out of the inning.

70charger Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I blame Arcia trying to stretch a double. Damn game of inches...
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 wonder why Calhoun hesitated on his throw? hesitated and made a bad throw.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 You can tell Arcia has lost some extra weight he needed to, he's looked better in many respects. Though I still would call this defensive alignment the "All Doubles" defense. So far it hasn't cost us and I'm happy to see Oswaldo getting ABs.
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 no chance to get a double play on the Trout one.It was a poorly placed feed to Dozier. Maybe Nunez knew there was no chance so his feed didn't matter.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 no chance to get a double play on the Trout one.Actually, I think both plays were low percentage turns, I was more making the point that Gibson suffered some bad luck--fast runners with the grounders not hit to ideal spots--or his fate might have been kinder in the first.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 extremely hard to double up Trout. For his career, he averages eight GiDP per 162 games.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 alright Twinkies, let's put some runs on the board.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 looks like Escobar and Dozier have some good comradery going.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I didn't know this Twins team could take a walk...
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 The T-man said on his show Buxton is 100% fine, just getting another day off while the hot guys stay in the lineup.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Why does Spike Jonze sell cars now? Driving me nuts. The man directed sabotage ffs.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hand it to Molly and Nolasco pushing through that 2nd inning yesterday. Wow. Maybe Gibson can recover and pitch deep in today's game too.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 1. Cuddyer is still likable as all hell. 2. I would like it if more athletes retire when they [ought to] know it's time. Don't force it.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Well done getting out of that jam. Still 2-0 Angels, despite runners at second and third to end that half-inning.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Plouffe with a hard gapper, and Sano crosses the plate! 2-1. Let's keep 'em coming.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Great piece of hitting from Plouffesie
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I would love to sit around and have beers and talk baseball with Cuddy
