Two ground balls that could have double plays. A very poorly played ball in right field. This is a really bad defense and the Angels found the two weakest spots on defense in the first inning.

You can tell Arcia has lost some extra weight he needed to, he's looked better in many respects.

 

Though I still would call this defensive alignment the "All Doubles" defense. So far it hasn't cost us and I'm happy to see Oswaldo getting ABs.

It was a poorly placed feed to Dozier. Maybe Nunez knew there was no chance so his feed didn't matter.

Actually, I think both plays were low percentage turns, I was more making the point that Gibson suffered some bad luck--fast runners with the grounders not hit to ideal spots--or his fate might have been kinder in the first.
