Mauer Honored by Cretin-Derham Hall

Cretin-Derham Hall's field house is now called The Joe Mauer Field House because of his (and his wife Maddie's) philanthropic efforts. 

 

 

Joe and Maddie Mauer were recognized for their philanthropic efforts when the St. Paul high school from which they graduated dedicated the fieldhouse in honor of the longtime Minnesota Twin.

Who will be the first to ask, "Why don't they re-name the school in his honor, ie.,St. Joseph's High School?"

Mauer would have likely gone pro in football, he was one of the top QB's recruited his year and would have started at Florida State pretty quickly. Good arm, good smarts etc.

 

Anyways, good for Mauer, well deserved for sure.

Pfffft. All the throws were humpbacks to the off side. Few long balls, and the ones he did try were just barely enough...10 yard line power. He always waited until he was behind the chains two downs before throwing. No leadership in the huddle.
