David HK Verified Member Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Argh. Bloody day games start at 2AM here. Waking up to news of loss #4 in a row sucks. But not as bad as this---- (TwinsNorth- you're gonna cry, as I did)Tragedy in Hong Kong, as 'Yonge Piggies'- HK's only Canadian/Poutine joint suddenly shuttered, just as I'm heading over for a gravy-and-cheese-curds fix. Oh, the humanity!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Dozier's glove is starting to look as ragged as his bat. Guy looks worn out...for a guy in his 20's. Not worn out like us.

David HK Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 On the other hand- Rugby World Cup is underway- USA play Samoa today. But late last night (my time), Japan shocked the world, beating South Africa in extra time! Whaaaaaa....?!?!?To put it in perspective, it's like the Gophers waltzing in to Tuscaloosa and swatting down the Crimson Tide. NO, it's bigger than that-- it's like the Gophers waltzing in to Foxboro and knocking off the Pats.Go USA!
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Get yer mitts off my bacon.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 I wonder what Mike Pelfrey thinks when he sees his catcher squat and hold his mitt in a certain spot? "Aw, isn't that cute? He's back to trying to guess where I'm gonna throw it." / Also, "when".
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Some of the crawlers opted to watch the game from the Goose Island Pub: image.jpg Hint: they are the ones in the royal blue tshirts. So you guys are Royals fans now? No Twins colors?
wavedog Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 How many times in a row can we not score a runner from 3rd with less than 2 outs? Since everything is tracked is there a record for that?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Dozier's glove is starting to look as ragged as his bat. Guy looks worn out...for a guy in his 20's. Not worn out like us. Too bad Performance Enhancing Amphetamines (PEAs) aren't still in vogue. That woulda got him through the grind.
wavedog Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I am ready for pennant race baseball. Tracking the Twins on my laptop and switching watching between the Houston and Texas games. Hopefully this switches our luck and we can win tonight's game.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Herrmann throweth the runner out. How 'bout that?
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 So, Gibson to start game 163, Pelf to start the WC game?

wavedog Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I am assuming we are waiting to string all our hits together in one inning to maximize our runs scored.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 So, Gibson to start game 163, Pelf to start the WC game? Not to worry. Big Pelf's got that one too.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 No worries about next year either. Terry Ryan is furiously negotiating an extension as we speak...Not to worry. Big Pelf's got this.
