I don't know why this is necessary. Being a college football coach is the best gig ever. Anytime you have less than 4 years left on your contract, the instant excuse comes into play. "How can I recruit if I can't say I'll be here the whole time they're in the program?"

Doesn't mean anything. Coaches get fired after their contract is extended all the time. At least he beat Bucky, and the team showed some clout at the end. There is reason to be cautiously optimistic for 2019. Plus, players seem to be doing well in school, which is good to emphasize.

I agree. They won’t blow up the combine but they are so technically sound and hard working they carve out long careers.

 

Those two and Coughlin jump out when you watch them.

Nice win. Georgia tech thought they were going to walk through the gophers. Have to feel positive about the past 4 games.

 

Still don't think the qb position is solidified. With all these transfers from big school, maybe fleck can snag a good one. Minnesota should try to get bowl in the Vikings stadium. The ice bowl!

It's that time of year where I have way too much hope in seeing a good Gophers football team. Like the past 60+ years, QB remains the ultimate question mark...

 

Sounds like Annexstad will be out for the season, so the competition is Murphy vs. 2 true freshman.

 

Looking at the rest of the roster, I don't think I've ever seen this much talent on offense. 3 RBs with 1,000 yard seasons on their resume, 2 very good WRs, and all of the OL returning.

 

Given the schedule this year (No Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State games) this is their best opportunity in a very long time to make it to the B1G championship game.

Didn’t catch the GG game, but see they prevailed in OT. They are a second-tier pick in the Big Ten West, but IMHO the division is wide open.

I didn't get to watch... but it looks like Morgan is pretty efficient. With Bateman and Johnson, why aren't they destroying defenses? When they had to score seems like they could. Without seeing the game it is hard to know why the offense isn't more explosive.

Watched the game off and on while doing projects in the new house. A win is a win I guess?

 

Tyler Johnson again is a very good player who will no doubt play on Sundays next year.
