big dog Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Wow, then Bux scores on what was practically an infield popup. I live in Chicago and am forced to watch on TV. Hawk and Stone are drooling over Buxton. LaBombo, DiscGolfer, Gibby and 1 other 4

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I know there is a lot of criticism of Mauer - and understandably so - but he has actually been pretty good in some clutch situations this season. I know people were discussing they would rather have Plouffe than him, and there are reasons why that would make sense, but I still would rather see him in a clutch situation (but I am a Mauer apologist). Apologist or not, he is hitting better in close and late situations this year than not, and has been awesome with RISP this year. Mauer w/ RISP: .360/.473/.460 Can't hate on that. SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Could we have pinch hit for Robinson here? Santana could have played left I think you are asking for trouble trying to be too cute with OF defense at this point with a 3 run lead blairpaul715 1
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 As per the Twins twitter: Miguel Sano is 3-for-4 so far with an RBI and two runs scored. The rookie's 7th-inning home run made him the 4th player in the last 10 seasons to hit 14 home runs through his first 50 career games. Sano's power has helped the Twins to a 7-5 lead over the White Sox. Gibby and Jerr 2
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 It would have been a shame to blow a game where you had a 4-0 lead against Chris Sale. Jerr 1

Dumb question - I am sure he is the being cool, objective, professional and lending his broadcast a confident grace.Well, he seems resigned to the Sox losing another one, especially with fielding errors in the 8th.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I got off the golf course and the score was 4-0. I watched on my computer and Chicago scored five straight runs, sat down and watched my TV and Sano homered, then came the nice little three-run inning. I guess I'll stick to watching my TV. Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 That's Perk's fault, but Mauer always seems to want to toss it to the pitcher rather than take it himself with some hustle.
