Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Wow, i want to see this pleisiosaur! What's it eat?Can i play with it, if i promise not to take it out of the water?
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Buxton will be fine. He was 4 for 9 in this series prior to today
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 These are the guys that are going to take us to the promised land. Get them in and play. ...and by the promised land, I mean the opportunity to pee down our legs when facing the Yankees in the playoffs.
Turd Furgeson Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Buxton's pitch recognition continues to baffle me. Strikeout #4 looked like me in Little League, swinging at the pitch when it's basically in the catcher's mitt (in this case low and outside). Slow recognition, slow bat... the hit-tool is coming along more gradually than expected for him. I didn't see his first at bat but the other three all started with 0-2 counts. They attacked him right away and he didn't swing and he just kinda swung helplessly trying to make contact at that point. I'm a bit worried about his pitch recognition honestly. Hitters can become more disciplined I suppose but pitch recognition seems to me to be a inherent skill that you have or you don't. He had some very good walk rates at different points in the minors, I didn't get to see those at bats but it made you think he really had a good approach, so I don't really get what's happening now.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Hunter should not be batting here
howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 They seriously need to DL Hunter. It's painful to watch right now. Something is wrong. Give him a couple weeks off.
Jerr Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Ok, I'm here, time to win this one Twins!!!!!
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 They seriously need to DL Hunter. It's painful to watch right now. Something is wrong. Give him a couple weeks off. He is old, that is what is wrong. You think he's gonna let them DL him with something fake? No chance
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 What a brutal loss this is going to be. So winnable
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 You were never 17 years old? I was... I might even have gotten permit. But i didn't need to drive, so i waited until i got kicked out of college before getting the license. I think i've made up for it driving-wise, with some long trips, was well as trip planning perhaps worthy of a 17 year old...
howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Do you really believe JR Graham 'needed' to go on the DL? I'm sure his shoulder is sore. And probably all of Torii is. He has a known wrist issue and it shows. Nothing fake about it.He is old, that is what is wrong. You think he's gonna let them DL him with something fake? No chance
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 He is old, that is what is wrong. You think he's gonna let them DL him with something fake? No chanceI'm sure the Twins will give him every chance to finish his career on the field. for better or worse.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 What a brutal loss this is going to be. So winnable It's not over , buzzkill.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I'm sure the Twins will give him every chance to finish his career on the field. for better or worse.Yup. Robinson is a much better option then him at this point, and that is saying A LOt
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 What a brutal loss this is going to be. So winnable Still is winnable, at least technically. I'm still gonna pay attention, 'cause of Baltimore...
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 It's not over , buzzkill.Suzuki, Robinson and Buxton due up? It's over. They fell completely apart after the Sano "error", which wasn't even that bad.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 What a brutal loss this is going to be. So winnable Can't win them all. 2 out 3 on the road is nothing to be ashamed about.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Rosiaro should PH for Robinson
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Suzuki, Robinson and Buxton due up? It's over. They fell completely apart after the Sano "error", which wasn't even that bad. You're a barrel of fun.
mlynch16 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 If Suzuki catches the pitch that he dropped then the game is tied. If Mauer or Suzuki hit the ball a foot farther the game is tied. If they are playing in any stadium except Tropicana this game is tied. So many missed opportunities will cost us. I predict losing 2/3 to Houston this weekend and then just fading out of it in September.
jun Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Yes he did. I thought Danny Should play as well. My Starting Lineup had 17 guys on it. Only 5 were Twins but 17 guys nonetheless.Well, all I remember was Santana had quite a few lucky infield singles last year. That clearly would not sustain.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Boxberger? I think that was the special at Five Guys earlier tonight. Let's break his heart like we did with Britton's in Baltimore last week.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Sound's like a lot of you are walking toward the gates already. Game's not over yet only down by 1, still very winnable.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Rosario PH? Who called it, i forget?
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 first reasonable PH move I've seen in a long time
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 first reasonable PH move I've seen in a long time should have PH Nunez for Suzuki as well
