ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 So what about the 2002 All Star Game?I knew I needed to think harder before I posted that.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Twins 6-0hhhhh against the Orioles!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Buxton drove in the winning run. Good game.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Where it stands right now - this has been a good series for the Twins. Cut the O's heads off tomorrow and it's a dream come true. The Jepsen pick-up, no matter what our gripes at the time were, has definitely helped us out because of the Perkins' injury.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Maybe I shouldn't say this, but I can't help it. If you start at 50 feet away and move 10 feet closer each time that means 10 feet away would be the fifth time you asked. (So obviously that means she didn't hear you the first time.) Be Careful... I got Skippy from Family Ties mad at me kind of like this. True Story: His real name is Marc Price. He also does a comedy act (not very good) and he came to town. After the Show... I knew the club owner and he invited me to hang out with Skippy and the three of us were just sitting there having some drinks and Skippy asked what we thought of his new material. He mentioned his Regina Joke specifically and what did we think of it. The Joke started with I was in Regina Saskatchewan. To Keep this is somewhat PG... Just use your imagination... The Punchline was C'mon it's just one letter off. So Skippy asked the both of us what we thought of the joke... The Club Owner was all... It was great... Wonderful... and I said... Umm... Actually it's two letters off. And Skippy glares at me and says... Well that wouldn't have been as funny... and he stormed off. and that was the last I saw of Skippy.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I am at the airport right now, just purchased my ticket. I'll be at your place around 4:00am. I'd be there sooner, but the only flight available was into Lansing. Yeah... I've flown twice and both times out of Kalamazoo just to save 200 bucks. Apparently flying into Grand Rapids is more expensive because the terminal is paved in gold or something.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Why oh why can't we play games like this against the Yankees?

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Be Careful... I got Skippy from Family Ties mad at me kind of like this. +++++. and that was the last I saw of Skippy. The game threads have on occasion gone a little off topic, but of all the things that would come up here -- I never in a million years would have guessed there would be a post about an angry Skippy. I wish Mallory would have put a restraining order on him - he needed to be exiled from the show. It also sounds like his jokes would not live up to the caliber of the ones told here.

Asskatechewan was the joke punchline... correct?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Another small ball win. That's encouraging.

Hey, could that be what an Lpad is?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 The Twins are more like a mini-roll. A very very small roll.http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yVjcUfSAoII/Ulhqe2bfcHI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/dc_yoUc-Huc/s1600/cinnamonrolls1.png Supersize me! (unless of course i'm a little premature... I suppose it might be reasonable to wait a little still)
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Very interesting tidbit from Molitor in the post game interview; Suzuki's bunt was not a call from the dugout, but it was Suzuki acting on his own!
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 About four innings away from the Twins officially being 1.5 games out of the second wildcard spot.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I know I will repeat this at the beginning of tomorrow's game thread but you have no idea how giddy I will be if the Twins win tomorrow's game. Jays did their job tonight. Now we have to root for the Tigers tomorrow.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The Twins have taken what started out as a miserable road trip and are now 3-3.
