Game Thread: Twins @ Orioles, 8/22 @ 6:05pm CT

Recipe for a good game thread.

1. A good game. I suppose that is subjective, and not entirely vital, but it helps. It needs to anticipation, excitement, and unifying events that we can all appreciate. Twins would like to notch another game like 2 nights ago, or even last night under their belt. Orioles, not so much. But that should make it interesting.

2. Pitchers. Belly itching doesn't go over so well. Gibson with his sinker, double play induction, and surprise strike outs, he should be worth the watch. Tillman, i know less about. But he's in the major leagues so he can't be that bad. (little help here)

3. Batters. Not the kind for cake. The kind what swing, or not, as the case may be and hit and bunt and scratch and duck and dodge, anything to get on the base, or at least advance and score those already there. We ain't been doin' so bad in that regard of late. The Orioles' rep is that they got power. If there shortstop is an indication, i remember bein' excited for that. The list of particular players i'm excited for shall be at the bottom of this intro...

4. Fielding/Running (as they occur concurrently, i list 'em as such) and i've been pleased of late that our running has beaten out their fielding on some surprising points, even crucial points. And occasionally it's gone the other way too (though if Torii had come up with that dive last night, i'da hit the roof. But maybe i just have a low roof)

5. Y'all. Good company makes everything better. Unilaterally. And i'm always glad for the company. So everyone, stay alert and involved in that there game! Nothing will hit the fan. Not on my watch!

Er... preparation, cooking? The game can be appreciated raw, and so i'm happy with it. But to each our own.

Tough one-  Really close, CA had all the momentum, then got a yellow card, and Usa piled it on.   Ah, well.  I'm going back to sleep now- enjoy the Twins win today!

The Twins are more like a mini-roll. A very very small roll.

But a very tastey and well buttered roll!

cinnamon, in fact.

Put it the oven for 40 games, and watch it become a big roll?

(I really need to learn to proof read.)

No roll is small. Those are just big hands...

0-0 halfway through the second.

(Wherefore art thou CBU)

And i missed that exciting bunt. I'm sorry i let the team down.

It was a good bunt. In fact, he followed a first effort off. They were giving it to him, and he took it. Excellent.
