twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Sorry I worded that wrong I guess. I'm originally from St Paul and now in Toronto. It's one hell of a city so the pot shots are kind of silly. Minne is tiny in comparison to Toronto. I'm forever a Twins fan however. You sound just like a Torontonian.
Copperfield Verified Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Welcome to the board! Thanks! This series has interested me for obvious reasons.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 In bowling, that's called an "Andy Veripapa." 12 strikes in a row, just not in the same game. A quadruple Turkey? Also called luck.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Thanks! This series has interested me for obvious reasons.Yes, yes, welcome of course........Toronto, mutter, mutter........Blue Jays, grumble, grumble.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 A quadruple Turkey? Also called luck. For some folk, I s'pose.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 For some folk, I s'pose. If you're referring to me, there isn't enough luck in the world, one is an accomplishment. If you mean you.........show off.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Yes, yes, welcome of course........Toronto, mutter, mutter........Blue Jays, grumble, grumble. You don't like Toronto as a city, or as the home of the Blue Jays, or what?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 You don't like Toronto as a city, or as the home of the Blue Jays, or what?I'll take "or what" for $1000 Alex.

GCTF Verified Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 You don't like Toronto as a city, or as the home of the Blue Jays, or what?**** the Leafs and everyone and everything associated with them.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Hmm.What's your feelings on New York and the Yankees?
zchrz Provisional Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Are there any catchers at all that will make it on the waiver wire that will fall to the Twins to give Suzuki some competition for playing time? Hermann is just good enough to replace Fryer. Pinto has been on the 7 day concussion list and should be moved to the 60 day DL(not going to be playing for the Twins this year) I doubt AJ Pierzynski would ever make it to the Twins because of the National league getting to choose first and AJ is working on a cheap contract. Sure would be nice to get someone to push Suzuki to the bench a little more and give the manager some offensive options. I doubt it Eric Fryer and Chris Hermann are the kind of catchers available at this point. At least there are some prospects in the SS pipeline, they really need to address catcher in the off season because it is a gaping void in the organization.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 **** the Leafs and everyone and everything associated with them.Amen, someone who understands.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 **** the Leafs and everyone and everything associated with them. The Leafs? Are you a Senators fan?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Seems like the plate approach tonight is, "Your guess is as good as mine".
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 The Leafs? Are you a Senators fan?No such thing.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Late to the party … too much work lately … and I'm not going back to read today's threads and yesterday's … but what is Revere doing in LF? I mean, he now has the bat of a corner outfielder?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 No such thing.Hey … I was, sort of, for a brief moment in time … even got to meet Alexi Yashin. (That was the time frame I was in Ottawa.)
