nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 So who had Aaron Hicks improving his batting average by 80 points and his OBP by only 10? ashbury 1
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Seattle is bad.......and will not blow it up. Nice win tonight. I like wins.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 A mental image I. Did. Not. Need. Hey Now... He's trying to attract a left handed arm. Everyone thinks the Crickets mean he isn't doing anything. I'm trying to explain his method while sounding like crickets actually is an effort to lure.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 HICKS I didn't quite catch that...Say it again?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 How does one cook watermelon?(Brian, you wouldn't by any chance have in your kitchen a Sledge-o-matic?) Actually, there are recipes for grilling it but I like mine plain.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 I didn't quite catch that...Say it again? HICKS... Plural of Hick.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 (edited) I was watching a slo-mo of Ryan Zimmerman's swing earlier, and I noticed that Aaron Hicks is swinging the bat almost exactly the way Zimmerman does. The slow leg lift, the bat wave, the whole thing. Seems to work. I should mention the slo-mo was of Zim's home run to left, almost the same spot Hicks just hit one. Edited July 31, 2015 by jimbo92107
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 HICKS!!! ... still murders left handed pitching. Waiting to see him turn the corner with respect to righties.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Buxton, Hicks, Rosario. I can live with that. With Arcia as the fourth outfielder when he's not DH'ing. (I hope.)
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Seattle is bad.......and will not blow it up. Nice win tonight. I like wins. Dude... No No... Don't do that. Don't tempt the wrath of the thing... High A Top the Whatever. USAFChief, JB_Iowa and ashbury 3
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 HICKS... Plural of Hick. Perhaps that explains how he's finally getting it. He wasn't quite all there the first time he was called up. And how he can hit from either side of the plate! Thanks! Riverbrian 1
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Actually, there are recipes for grilling it but I like mine plain. Yeah.. JB has a Watermelon Fridge. A fridge just for Watermelon. ashbury 1
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 That team has had Felix Hernandez at the top of there rotation for how long and they have still yet to put together a roster around him. You should be kicking butt and taking names when you have King Felix to build around and you spent all of that money on Cano. Now that is the worst GM in baseball right there MR Z, running that team, MR Z has no plan and should have been shown the door along time ago. Our GM may be conservative but he at least has a plan and is light years ahead of Zundreniak or however you spell his name. I love Positive Vibes like this Our guy isn't as bad as that guy. Mike Sixel and JB_Iowa 2
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 He has a plan, it just want working. Zunino was supposed to be good. Two top pitchers got hurt. Every FA he acquired is a been blech. Ya, he is bad......
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 @MikeBerardino: Twinsights: Byron Buxton has a "really good day" on the field,' Molitor said. Rehab trip could start soon. #MNTwins http://t.co/qu1qfi4qZn Wait, still more happy news. Get a rope. Riverbrian 1
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Getting Buxton back is better than any trade I could have made....... Riverbrian 1

Letitsano Provisional Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Glad they came roaring back - go hicks and rosario! - but now they have to defend a four run lead for 7 innings ...
Jerr Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Just got here, Twins winning and crickets and frogs discussions....3 of my favorite things Riverbrian and ashbury 2
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I see Plouffe is a fan of my work . Baby boy: Theodore Winston James Plouffe. Kind of hard keeping up with all the Twins trade rumors at this point.Hopefully we gave up only a C prospect in this deal. Riverbrian 1
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 He has a plan, it just want working. Zunino was supposed to be good. Two top pitchers got hurt. Every FA he acquired is a been blech. Ya, he is bad...... The reason he still has a job is because they can't spell his name to put it on the document removing him. Ownership: Z (Pause) What comes next? I don't know? (Pause) Let deal with this later. ashbury 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Hopefully we gave up only a C prospect in this deal.Good ol' PTBNL. And i have it on good authority they'll announce him on Saturday: Trevor Plouffe. ashbury 1
