70charger Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Switch games during the commericals! You know, I consider myself to be a reasonably smart person, and yet I've never really done this. I just mute it and wait. Maybe I should reassess myself.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I don't know if you're actually interested in this, but I have some inside knowledge, so why not share? Jack Links has been with their (Minneapolis-based) ad agency now for something like a decade. They're a small-town company and their mindset isn't particularly edgy or creative. Certain people in their ad agency have expressed a desire to move away from Sasquatch, but they like it, and they don't see any reason to change.Interesting, thanks. Maybe it works, but if they ever ask me, I'd tell em the ads are so bad they make me NOT want to try their jerky.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 The head of that team is quite the looker as well.I don't know if you're actually interested in this, but I have some inside knowledge, so why not share? ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 It's gotta be his ankle here right? I mean, Plouffe being out is literally the perfect reason to see what he can do at 3B in the majors. I don't go in for hardly any of the conspiracy theories around here, so I'm going to assume it's his ankle unless there's evidence otherwise.I like your restraint. It's like you took a pitch off the corner that looked pretty good.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Dick carrying some very serious water for TR and his deadline laziness (why make trades? Look at what happened to Oakland last year! If it aint broke, why fix it?)
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I'm watching on MLB.tv, and they're doing the same Elvis impersonator - State Farm commercial literally every inning. I'd love to have a Jack Links commercial thrown in the mix.I'm watching a live feed, . No commercials. Just beautiful silenc.e
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Dick carrying some very serious water for TR and his deadline laziness (why make trades? Look at what happened to Oakland last year! If it aint broke, why fix it?) that sounds like PR speak right from the FO......doesn't bode well for a change. And, man, that thinking is so 1980s it is ridiculous.

70charger Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Must be super windy if Suzuki not only gets close to a home run but gets close to straight away center.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Suzuki just has no good luck.It will come around, the good thing is his at bats have been looking infinity better the past couple weeks.
70charger Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I'm watching a live feed, . No commercials. Just beautiful silenc.e I think it only happens on my iPad. But I'm "working" on my computer, so this is still probably better.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Suzuki just has no good luck. It's the damdest thing, ain't it? And it's been going on for half a decade now.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Who didn't see that one coming? Sure would be nice to throw out a freaking guy at 2B once in a while to help your pitcher.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 1 step forward, 2 steps back with this team.
70charger Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 "Rosario got a really bad look at that." Was that aided by the same crazy wind that made a Suzuki fly ball almost go out of the ballpark in center field?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Kinda a bad sequence there...0-2 base hit, no chance on a stolen base, a really bad pitch to AM, and a pretty horrible job by Rosario.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 the circus has arrived! The pirates are for REAL. The twins were exposed a long time ago. And people want to trade prospects to make a playoff run? For what? Where is this team really going to end up this season?
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 The last 3 HR's have given up all where in pitchers counts. No excuse.
Tibs Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 What is going on with the outfield in this game?
Whammy Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 The last 3 HR's have given up all where in pitchers counts. No excuse. The last 20 HR we have given up have all meant something (or so it seems) We are pretty close to the middle of the pack in terms of HR allowed, but man does it feel like every home run we give up is meaningful. Whereas the Twins seem to bunch up their homers in 10-1 victories.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 There's something wacky going on in that outfield today.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 What the **** is Dozier bunting for?
Whammy Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Bunt call is.... ummmm.... interesting, there. 5th inning. Tie game. One of your better hitters who also happens to be prone to strike outs and apparently not very good at bunting. Yeah, let's get two strikes on that guy.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 To criticize Dozier's at bat would be like beating a dead horse with a broken record, over and over again.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 What the **** is Dozier bunting for?Why give up an out, when you already have a guy on 2nd, and your best extra base hitter up? WTF? It's the 5th inning. Has anyone paid attention to our bullpen? We will need more than one run to win this game. Man.
