Ervin Santana has opened the second half of the season with 15 2/3 straight scoreless innings.

So all the Twins needed for an win was for me to stay out of the game thread. That should make people pretty happy.

Geez it's going to suck not having Santana available for the playoffs.

Nah, it was me staying out of the game thread.

However. Playoffs? Don't make me find Jim Mora.

I'm thinking there may be something to the time zone theory.

Most of these guys have little kids.  They're not used to starting at 9 p.m. Central.  No wonder they look "unenergetic".

Did much better today at a reasonable hour.

You are doing it wrong. Always look like you are doing something without actually doing it.

It's not what you look like when you're doing what you're doing. It's what you're doing when you're doing what you look like you're doing.

Whadd'ya mean? They're the wildcard leaders.

For all my moaning about them this week they were one Perkins out from going 3-3 on the trip.

Easy to look good when your pitching allows zero runs :)

Still concerned with the lineup, if Plouffe doesn't hit that home run this game may still be going on now, of course having dozier out today hurts, and hunter while struggling is much better than Robinson.

Sano looks a bit shaky these last two games, hopefully just a little rust, however that walk he drew was huge.

3 games up in the WC race (for #2)

It's going to be part of the process. MLB pitchers are going to throw him absolute junk until he adjusts.

That's what the Cardinals did to Buxton starting with his first at bat.

That still counts as leading.

I know, I was more pointing out that the twins have a nice lead in the race. Which helps a ton during a tough stretch.

Yeah, Ervin is the luckiest pitcher on the team. He's always vulturing wins by being out there when the other team isn't scoring any runs.
