Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 nice finish to the inning - that's how you limit Billy Hamilton's stolen bases, make him hit it in air...
Blake Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 May battled his tail off. Wriggling out of jams is part of the maturing process for a pitcher. (There has to be one more cliche I missed) Good job, Mr. May.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Nuñez. There, I typed the tilde on my Kindle.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 May hasn't got much control today.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Well, there are some veteran pinch-hitting options on the bench.
James Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Dear Mr. Herrmann- You're application to our institution has been accepted. http://www.ringling.com/funniestkid/images/logo.jpg
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Remember when the Twins couldn't lose back to back games?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Say what you will about Herrmann's offense but at least he brings it with the glove. Brings it where, I don't know.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Hard to believe it's only 2-0. This has been your dubious CBU
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Two runs the Reds probably shouldn't have.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Two runs the Reds probably shouldn't have.True, there were a couple early jams that May managed to wriggle out of. Those could have been quite a bit worse than 2 run innings on their own.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Brian Dozier is really good at baseball.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 TWINS STOP BUNTING. STOP.The fake attempted bunt drives me insane.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Does Joe or Torii get the first crack at pinch hitting this game in the pitcher's spot?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I thought there was a lot of red in the seats, but part of it is red seats.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 This is a totally unscientific and unsubstantiated observation by me, but it just seems like the Twins have been trying to play "a national league style" of baseball in NL Parks with no idea of what that actually means. "There's a guy on base, that means we bunt, right coach?" Molitor only played in a few interleague series at the end of his career, and has been AL only as a coach as well. I hate to jump to conclusions, but for as smart as he is, his team has been doing a lot of dumb things in these games. It is especially odd because they seem to have been playing a national league style in the AL and done so quite well.

jorgenswest Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Nice game from May. With an average defensive catcher he might have a shut out through 6.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Doesn't have to throw a strike Don't think it was.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 If GameDay is to be believed that called third strike was about a foot off the plate...
