The Twins will try to close out June with a win tonight. The pitching probables are Phil Hughes (6-6, 4.20) versus Anthony DeSclafani (5-5, 3.35), both righties. Game starts at 6.   Weather forecast:

I would have to say Herman/Fred, because he could help out the team.  He could fill a need in the bullpen, and since he is close to 200, he would have a good veteran presence in the club house.  Plus,

So I'm sittin' here, my own business, when Mrs Chief comes up behind me and smacks me on the head with a fryin' pan.   "What they hey??""   "I found this note in your pocket,"  she says.  "Betty Sue."

If I could have double liked this post, I would have. I didn't expect my rookie game thread to make a top 5 list.

I should have retired after my rookie thread. There might have been some monetary value. Sort of like Billy Ripken's rookie card being worth quote a bit, due to there being a somewhat naughty word on his bat.

Or maybe sorta not.

Thought provoking question of the day, if Billy Hamilton had an on base percentage of .400, how many bases would he steal in a year?

Only simple arithmetic.

If it was simple I would have an answer by now, but I guess this thread is full of stupid (which I doubt,) or obstinate people (which I don't doubt.)

And Nunez loses his helmet while running for his 12th double of the year … advances to 3rd on a ground out by Suzuki.

And Gameday is wrong …
