One of the commercials that's been running on the Cedar Rapids broadcast of this game has been for the Blind Pig - a bar in CR I haven't been to (or even heard of), as hard as that is for me to believe.

So... You're gonna have to check it out.

It was interesting to hear Bert call the fastball that scored the run. Nothing like proving the Bert might just know a bit about pitching and pitching strategy.

When Bert isn't acting like a jackass by talking about nonsense or pitch counts or something of that ilk, he's a pretty good analyst. The dude knows a lot about pitching.

There's a Blind Pig down here in Austin, TX too. Been there several times...

So I'm new to Grand Rapids... I've never been to a minor league game. I missed the Kernals coming to town but I imagine I'll make White Caps game or two or ten.

 

Which teams should I try to see when they come to town? Who are the hot prospects worth watching in the league?
