USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 How is getting 2 runners in scoring position for Dozier here different from a shave savings? One is a double steal, and the other is a stubble deal.Nice.

Guest Guests Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 SD BuhrSo I'm new to Grand Rapids... I've never been to a minor league game. I missed the Kernals coming to town but I imagine I'll make White Caps game or two or ten.Which teams should I try to see when they come to town? Who are the hot prospects worth watching in the league?Because of the way the MWL is set up in East/West Divisions and the geographic distance between them, teams only play 1 series a year against each team in the opposite division. Not even a home/home. So with the Kernels in the West, we don't even see every East team even once. The two East teams that came to CR in the 1st half were Lansing (TOR) and Great Lakes (LAD). Combined, they took 5 of 6 games from the Kernels. Lansing has some pitching that's very good and Great Lakes had more offense. I'd try to see them when they come your way. As for prospects, I don't recall with Lansing, but Great Lakes had the Dodgers #1 and #2 draft picks. Grant Holmes a SP and Alex Verdugo a CF.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 OK, I'll ask this. Why is Coghlan hitting fourth and Rizzo second?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 OK, I'll ask this. Why is Coghlan hitting fourth and Rizzo second?I'm not sure but I'd guess it's because Joe Maddon has no idea what the inside of a box looks like. He's my favorite manager because he's an outside the box thinker.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Trevor May the strikeout machine....

Guest Guests Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Was planning on driving over to Clinton for the Kernels game tonight but the weather radar in eastern Iowa is REALLY colorful.

Guest Guests Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Ross is having a tough inning behind the plate. They don't call them the tools of ignorance for nothing.
Guest Guests Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 So... will even Joe Mauer steal 2nd on Lester? He's gotta try, right?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 We're reasonably lucky to still be tied this game. Let's get this one in the W column.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Nevermind. Yeah, Plouffe didn't give him much of a chance, did he? Oh well. There's still a few more innings...
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Fien for the seventh. Concur.
