Game Thread, Twins vs. Cardinals, 6/18 @ 12:10 pm CT

[FattCrapps]

That 1st pitch to Vargas was waaaay outside.  Terrible call.

[Hrbowski]

They need to let Pelf finish the game.

[formerly33]

I've seen about enough of Kenys.

I'd seen about enough of him before he got the call.

[70charger]

No wonder this game seems like it's going super fast. Pelfrey worked that inning quick.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Have we had a walk off win this year? Maybe the Twins are saving the drama for the bottom of the 9th.

[Gibby]

Me too. Bring up Arcia.

I'd agree if Arcia weren't such a 3 year old.

The nominations for jinx goat of the day are piling up.

I went too close to the sun on the last one. My bad.

The nominations for jinx goat of the day are piling up.

Circumstantial evidence...

We can still pull it out.

Pelfrey, we got yer back!

[Kirby_waved_at_me]

Said it before and I'll say it again - I feel really bad for the Twins Starters. What more could be asked of these guys?

[Gibby]

When does Buxton hit his first homer?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

sigh.

Don't bunt.

Nunez is one of the very, very few guys doing anything at the plate. Let him hit for Pete's sake.

[bluechipper]

I'd agree if Arcia weren't such a 3 year old.

I'd call that passion for the game, and at least he can occasionally hit a baseball.

was Arcia the guy who tore off his shirt complaining about a call last week?

I went too close to the sun on the last one. My bad.

In fairness, those of us watching via an Internet feed might also blame this:

[Hrbowski]

Mauer might not hit many homers, but when he does, it counts.

[Kirby_waved_at_me]

WHAT. JOE!

[FattCrapps]

MAUER POWER!!!!!!!!!!!

Flashbacks to '09

[70charger]

I literally had this typed up in the text box, ready to go. For whatever reason, decided to wait for Mauer's at bat:

"How did this offense get so freaking bad? What happened? Can we go back to May?"

[Whammy]

That was unexpected. He certainly has made the most of his two homers

Not to worry, Mauer's got this.

Nailed it.
