Question: what are the most consecutive triples over two or more innings?

Or... The most triples in a game if you discount the 4th 7th and 9th innings?

[twinsfanstreif]

What's the record for triples in an inning?

Hard to find a solid answer this, the Angles hit 4 earlier this year and it hadn't happened since the 30s but I can't find if it was a record or not. The record for triples in a game is 9 (6 is the AL record)

Gallo looks like a hitter.

[stringer bell]

Does hitting a triple atone for missing a squeeze sign and getting the running on third picked off base?

Discuss.

Nope. The net effect of his AB was an out, not advancing the runner.

Gallo looks like a hitter.

Good thing; not much of a wine.

[Blake]

Well, nothing like Rookie meets Big League pitching.

I suppose the pitchers have to go after the youngster while they can, because down the road, it will probably swing the other way.

[Craig Arko]

I think that Buxton's not catching the hints.

But he did catch that ball.

[twinsfanstreif]

also if Robinson hits 2 more triples he will tie the record for most in a game! Set by my name sake George Strief (spelled differently, probably no relation) in 1885. That would be pretty cool although highly unlikely

Buxton is fast.

I don't know if anyone has noticed.

If it's me, I don't send Hughes out for the 7th.

I agree. He's battled his butt clear off.

[Craig Arko]

No triples.

[USAFChief]

Shouldn't they hold off on God Bless America till Mauer crosses first base?

[Riverbrian]

A few Mangoes but the game is still tied.

At least this singer has a pleasant voice.

Its bad manners to declare "thread winner" and then immediately top it

Everybody in the bullpen says that. You can't have two pitchers on the mound.

You'd think we could come up with one, though.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Here we have a guy named Smolinski who's batting .140 and squaring to bunt even before the pitch is delivered. This must not result in a sacrifice.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Atta boy Casey. Get one more.

[USAFChief]

How's about one o' them sac flies here, Fielder?

[Richie the Rally Goat]

Three and counting...

only scored one run...

[Platoon]

Dozier hit a home run?

way to spoil it for those of us on AZ time.

Not true! You should have known about this two hours ago

,

[USAFChief]

All right.  Let's get some run(s).

[stringer bell]

Now officially a battle of bad bullpens.

The resistable force meets the movable object.

[stringer bell]

Zuke is heading for Butera territory.

Blueberries are big in this part of the state. I didn't buy them because they were more purple than blue.

I had no idea your standards were so high!
