Hey Stringer. I heard that also, but I can't find any evidence that is true. Only Pinto's tweet. Heck maybe he meant his swing was back or something? At this point, who knows?

Bring Pinto up fan club

Dude can backup catch, DH some and a bench bat.

Instead of seeing Santana struggle in a big spot, the Twins might have an actual hitter up there

I wouldn't mind this swap. Not sure if it's the best roster construction, but let Eduardos SS and UT, have Santana figure out AAA, and give Pinto time at C/DH. I like it. Down the road, swap Herrmann and Vargas?

That sure is an interesting tweet, huh? Simply "I'm back!"

I haven't heard anything. I'd imagine if he was called up, it'd be to replace a pitcher and get back to 12.

He just has been so cold of late.

Maybe he was at the grocery store, and that tweet was meant for his wife and kids.

3 options why waste a flight to Minnesota for one game when the Twins will be in Boston Monday, 2 I'm back means something else, 3 a borderline call up tweeting about a call up before whoever was about to be sent down is easily reversed.  Bottom line no move was made last night.

I suppose 4. Hermann hit a HR if we want a below average hitter with some power we've got it already.

Am I looking at the wrong Josmil Pinto?  I keep looking at his AAA stats and reading about his fielding and keep wondering why people keep talking about promoting him.  And have him as a backup.  I'm just not seeing long-term potential.

I saw last year and keep hearing this year about pinto's defense being a problem. Anyone actually seen him play much this year? It wouldn't take to much to replace Suzuki in my mind. He isn't hitting very well and I feel like a ton of pitches are getting by him or are not fielded cleanly. His throw to second is easily replaced as well. Teams seem to steam at will on him.

Sounds like Molitor is planning for the 8-man bullpen for the Boston trip. Maybe a change will come next weekend when the Brewers come to town.

None of us like the 8 man bullpen, and I'd bet the includes Molitor.

But perhaps his plan is to try to overcome the lack of dominant arms in the bullpen by playing matchups in any close game.  "I don't have much in the way of relievers I trust with a one run 7th inning lead, so I'll use a RH to get one out, a LH to get the next, and another RH to get the final one."
