Duensing... Bleck   I know he has stranded some runners, but I still don't have confidence in him.  He hasn't done much since 2010.  Why do we keep him around?  May must have spiked his blood pressure when Brian gave up his runner in two quick hits.

I thought there was a moderator's note for no more Simian jokes... oh wait. Sorry. That was Semien.

But on a serious note, perhaps i need to listen to Monkees a bit more. Broaden my musical horizons...

Anyway, thanks all for the game thread. Coulda been worse.

What you really need to do is watch the TV show.

Some quality entertainment right there, I tells ya.  Brilliant writing, superb acting...real high brow stuff.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;

The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,

And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;

But there is no joy on this thread—Kennys Vargas has struck out.

Probably a good idea to be in disguise, when consuming Ewok.

I'll take "Ways Chief is like RB for 25 cents, Alex."

Some of the Twins recent offense has been fueled by some of the other teams horrible defense! 4 outs an inning is always helpful.......

To me, this has always been the heart of the perceived problem the Twins had in getting to the postseason versus going deep in them. Guys like Little Nicky Punto take advantage of the mistakes the other team makes and is an ignitor. Come the post-season, the teams that make mistakes are gone, and LNP takes a comfortable 0-4.

Some of us are very old.

Some would define us as old. But to sustain this level of discourse, sense of humor, and all around knowledge require experience. Experience does not come with youth. :).

Thank you, my friend. :)

What's the alternative in your case ... very, very, very old?

The alternative is not getting old.

The alternative is not getting old.

Yes. My mom has a quote on her refrigerator: Do not regret growing old. It's a privilege denied to many.

I was with my dad when they explained his choices at his age (93) if he collapsed and passed out. After listening to the stats on recovery if he was revived, he asked what's my other choice. The doc told him "your son can call the funeral home". His response, "that's not a very good alternative".

I dunno. My dad's 92, with no life-threatening health issues confronting him and a wife and family who love him and activities to keep him occupied, but if faced with a similar discussion he might shrug and say that sometimes you go with Plan B. :)

Glad to know there's hope. Thanks!
