Twins are on at 1 p.m., but then the Wild playoff game is on at 2 p.m. Grrr. Choices.

It will be a nice symmetry next fall when you have this issue of how much of an early season Wild game in October while truly focusing on the Twins play-off game.

What would be more radical would be a tie game on the road. Or in the eighth inning to face the heart of the lineup and leave the bottom of the order to the mopup crew. Or to "stretch out" a couple of the best closers to go two innings, eighth and ninth, when called for. Or to have them come in in the middle of an inning to squelch a rally.

But, I certainly was satisfied with the use yesterday.

Ain't this the truth! But baby steps...

That might be a real difference between Molly and Gardy.

I only hope Molitor loves the third inning sac bunt as much as Gardy. Gotta get that run back ASAP.

Well, if you have 2 TVs, there is this new fangled thing called a VCR. You can record on one TV, even with it off while watching the game on the other TV.

The point is that if Schafer bunts, it was a wasted out. The guy scores from third on Hunter's double instead of second and Salazar gets to skip throwing 3-5 pitches.

Salazar is now over 50 pitches through three innings so those pitches could determine when he leaves the game.

I wish Schafer bunted for more hits... He's got the speed.

But yeah, a dribbler to the right side does the same, with the added bonus it might be ripped instead of dribbling.

Oh well. We're behind again...
