Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 oh boy. Swarzak is getting another start? What is the over/under on him making it through the 5th inning?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 My first thought when I saw the lineup was "Herrmann again"? It still is, but I see that Schafer is injured (hyperextended elbow). Herrmann had a miserable game last night--what happened to Parmelee?
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 what happened to Parmelee? It appears the Twins only have faith in playing him against LHP.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 It appears the Twins only have faith in playing him against LHP. I had to look that up, but he has had much better results against lefties this year. Any idea why?
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I had to look that up, but he does has had much better results against lefties this year. Any idea why?No clue. Probably a flukey kind of thing.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Ok I have to get this out of my system, I'm sick and F-ing tired of hearing about Derek F-ing Jeter! Sorry I blew up, no not really. Prediction, Steiny will be the new manager of the D-Backs.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Double for Santana, single by Dozier on 2 pitches. Not a bad start.

You are ending the season on such a strong note that it is an even worse tragedy that the Twins are not going to the postseason.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 You are ending the season on such a strong note that it is an even worse tragedy that the Twins are not going to the postseason.I don't have the imagination to envision what that would be like (going to the postseason) game thread wise. 3 losing seasons since this site began - it feels like twenty.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 So much for Arcia only hitting homers when the team is ahead or behind by 5 in late innings.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Ok I have to get this out of my system, I'm sick and F-ing tired of hearing about Derek F-ing Jeter! Sorry I blew up, no not really. Prediction, Steiny will be the new manager of the D-Backs.I guess he is going to walk across Boston Harbor before his last game at Fenway. He is also going to catch the first pitch thrown out by the big Umpire in the sky himself (a little father son catch deity style).
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 RB, you seem to be fairly frequently anti-science. Why is that, if you don't mind my asking?
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Hey-O! Dozier wants the team HR lead.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Messrs. Smith and Hocking (and I assume others) don't seem to have a high opinion of Derek F-ing Jeter. (I wonder if his mom or dad picked his middle name. Never mind.) Don't know why, but I've always like him. Yanks were my first team as a kid. Like Rivera, Jeter's handled the idolatry pretty well the past few weeks. Hey! How about that Swarzie?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 Okay, let's see a Vargas long ball
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 RB, you seem to be fairly frequently anti-science. Why is that, if you don't mind my asking? It's not that he's anti-Science. He's just pro-Nonsense.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Welp, gotta run. Movie night with my wife. Some chick flick called the Manhattan Short Film Festival. Pray for me.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 It's not that he's anti-Science. He's just pro-Nonsense.That's about as close to a sincere answer as I have any right to expect. Thanks, I guess. Meanstwhile, 4-0 isn't bad.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Nice to see Dozier rolling up his sleeves today.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Sad to see Porcello go.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Another un-fundamental play - by Arcia.

How about that Swarzie?I actually am not anti-Jeter and definitely think he has deserved some of the accolades and has always handled himself pretty well. I just think the media has taken the adulation a bit too far. It makes me wonder if he has given them all gift baskets. (and I am a little bitter his retirement tour and media frenzy is coming close to eclipsing when they found out my career was winding down).
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 It's not that he's anti-Science. He's just pro-Nonsense.More than just pro-Nonsense... Major League caliber Nonsense. That said, i think he also declared an intent to be controversial.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Another Dozier doozy
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 RB, you seem to be fairly frequently anti-science. Why is that, if you don't mind my asking?Petri Dishes... I ate something out of one that looked like Cavier and it wasn't. It tasted better tho... But it wasn't Cavier.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 6-0 felt nice, I began to feel a sense of comfort. Then I woke up from my denial daydream and realized the quality of our pitching staff.
