Game Thread: Twins v Tigers, 9/17 @ 7:10pm CT

[ScrapTheNickname]

I saw a minor league game in Chatanooga in 1978 when the stadium was quaint. Now so many stadiums aren't quaint, not that I've been to many.

[stringer bell]

Twins into Tigers' bullpen in a tie game. Supposedly, advantage Twins. Pretty sure five runs won't win this game.

[LaBombo]

Price is a durable CY - level pitcher, but leaving him in on a what amounts to a bad night for him seems like another indictment of their bullpen.  The Tigers are like an NFL team that can't advance in the playoffs because they can't find a good kicker, punter, and gunner.

[Squirrel]

So if Iowa is an "Ick"

What state would be an "Ish?"

North Dakota

[Squirrel]

Yes.

LOL because that deserved more than a like

[Squirrel]

Heh, Arcia cracks me up

[snepp]

Dozier's power slump continues.

A triple, pfffffft.

[GCTF]

Exciting.

[Squirrel]

Dozier's power slump continues.

A triple, pfffffft.

Yeah, no kidding. I mean, he should've been able to make that go one inch farther for the home run.

[Riverbrian]

Albaque... Alba.. Alba... Ker... Umm... New Mexico just gave up a triple.

[stringer bell]

If it's spelled like the city, that's how it's spelled.

[snepp]

Slap Double!

[LaBombo]

Concur.

But my fascination with baseball has indirectly informed me that it can be mistaken for heaven.  Isn't that worth giving them a second chance?

[Squirrel]

Geez, that Mauer is just so awful! Take that, Mauer haters.

 Hell does freeze over.

I know this to not be true, or the Vikings would have won a Super Bowl by now.

[LaBombo]

If it's spelled like the city, that's how it's spelled.

The new guy the Tigers called up is named Coffee, only not spelled the same.

[Riverbrian]

That's Actually True... Just South of Bismarck.

We keep it there... Just so we can keep an eye on it.

We don't like surprises.

It was funny but cheap, but for someone whose lifetime Costco membership identifier is encoded on an implanted microchip, that's a plus.
