Yeah... What happened... Who is moving to NB?

Marlins.  Finalists in renaming are Groupers, Halibuts, and Flounders.  Smart money is on the latter due to the easy transition to new mascot...

Yeah... What happened... Who is moving to NB?

it has been speculated that the Twins would end their affiliation with NB when the contract expired because the rock cats had difficulty getting the city to build them a ballpark. It was speculated that the rock cats would move to hartford

I'm hoping for a big shakeup in AAA.

 

I'd like the Twins to affiliate with Iowa.

The Cubs with Indianapolis

And the Pirates to Rochester

Twins to Rochester MN, Pirates to either Rochester NY or Penzance PA, and Cubs to Gary, Indiana, where the scoreboard will be stolen during one of their road trips.

Back to the game. The six guys whose batting average starts with a "2" for the Kitties are 2-14 (both singles) with one walk and two strikeouts. The three guys hitting over .300 are 5-7 with a double and two walks (1 K).

Price will probably need at least 100 pitches to qualify for the wins.  Hitter patience and the resulting high pitch counts is one of the more encouraging things about the season.

For how many years now has Detroit been hamstrung, or at least pork medallion strung, by its bullpen? It's not like they don't know it or haven't done anything about, but they're still bad.

 

ERA is somewhere between 'quick and dirty' and 'instant and filthy' as a way to evaluate bullpens, but the fact that Detroit ranks only above Colorado, Houston, and ChiW in that stat... Still?  Really?

I am very happy that the Twins are staying away from the PCL. Southern League for Eastern is probably OK because they should have better weather. Edited by stringer bell

Although... Jacksonville would be the AA City to get for easy travel from Ft. Myers.
