LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Hmmm, Chattanooga for AA huh? What kind of sick mind would name a Chattanooga minor league team something other that the Choo Choos?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Yeah... What happened... Who is moving to NB?Marlins. Finalists in renaming are Groupers, Halibuts, and Flounders. Smart money is on the latter due to the easy transition to new mascot... http://www.insidesocal.com/tomhoffarth/files/2014/01/0108-flounder-animal-house-768-then-480w.jpg
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Yeah... What happened... Who is moving to NB?it has been speculated that the Twins would end their affiliation with NB when the contract expired because the rock cats had difficulty getting the city to build them a ballpark. It was speculated that the rock cats would move to hartford

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I'm hoping for a big shakeup in AAA. I'd like the Twins to affiliate with Iowa. The Cubs with IndianapolisAnd the Pirates to Rochester

stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Back to the game. The six guys whose batting average starts with a "2" for the Kitties are 2-14 (both singles) with one walk and two strikeouts. The three guys hitting over .300 are 5-7 with a double and two walks (1 K).

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Price will probably need at least 100 pitches to qualify for the wins. Hitter patience and the resulting high pitch counts is one of the more encouraging things about the season.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Holy crap... Minor league Affliates are changing all over the place. The Rockies in Albuqu.. Alba... Alba.. Ker-kee... Umm... Rockies in New Mexico. Dodgers in OKlahoma City Where is Houston going?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Where is Houston going?Nowhere. Sorry, couldn't resist. Their rebuild approach has actually been interesting enough to read about occasionally.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Two outs, fast runner on first. Probably will score, one way or another. That seems to be the story for Gibson.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 For how many years now has Detroit been hamstrung, or at least pork medallion strung, by its bullpen? It's not like they don't know it or haven't done anything about, but they're still bad. ERA is somewhere between 'quick and dirty' and 'instant and filthy' as a way to evaluate bullpens, but the fact that Detroit ranks only above Colorado, Houston, and ChiW in that stat... Still? Really?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Looks like Giants to Sacremento A's to Nashville That leaves Fresno And Colorado Springs for Milwaukee and Houston.I am very happy that the Twins are staying away from the PCL. Southern League for Eastern is probably OK because they should have better weather.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Santana has had a really, really nice rookie season.
