Camp?  This one time, at band camp...   As to Pinto, it would be a lot easier to buy Gardy's "integrity of the game" excuse if he had found a way to play Pinto at catcher in the White Sox series just

Gotta ask, Chief, is your part of the state under the gun for a deluge?

We were under full scale hell and damnation watch for like three days.  Literally, schools cancelled and everything.

As of this moment, which is right in the middle of what was forcast to be the worst of it, we've gotten about a quarter inch of drizzle off and on over the past 24 hours.  Right now the sun is breaking through.

pffft.

Sconnie and I have been camp counselors there for four years now. We call it Camp Too Late, for short.

We had a lot of young kids come up this summer but other than this guy Danny, Eddie, and a kid we call "little Kenny", we didn't give any of the kids any playing time........

bingo!

Have you gone to any AFL games? If so, which stadium experience would you recommend?

Pinto didn't get a start against the White Sox.  Fryer did, though.

BTW...where are you watching the game?

That's Right... He was DH on Sunday.

I am watching the game at my house... Under neath the kitchen sink.

That's more exciting than mine, which is that Gardenhire was driving a certain model of Ford from his home town on OK back to UT Austin, it died right in front of a biker bar in a small Texas town, and it all went reeeally downhill from there...

My theory, which is still a work in progress, I admit, as that it all boils down to the difficulty of turning "Josmil" into something which ends in "-see."

Long odds,. but maybe the new manager will have a thing for nicknames based on Lord of the Rings,  and next year we'll see 100 games caught and 500 AB's from ' Josmeagol'.

Made it up there last year for a couple.  All the stadiums are in the Phoenix metro area, and all of them are really nice, they use spring training stadiums and they're all mostly pretty new.

I plan on taking in 3 games Oct 9-11, in case anyone's thinking of attending...you might want to avoid those dates.   ;)   Of course, Ashburyjohn will be there as well, so you might want to put up with me being there in order to get the benefit of John's witty banter.  Or is it banty witter?

Whatever.
