Either that or milk the cows JB?

How did Cows get the monopoly on Milk?

Bison... Goats... Pigs... Raccoons could all produce and be sold in stores. Louie Pasteur could certainly heat and quickly cool that stuff as well.

I grew up in the country but not on a farm.  My dad owned a grain elevator and feed mill.

We had the usual assortment of cats and dogs but the only real "farm animals" we had was pigs.  Whenever there would be runts, Dad would sort them out and we kids had to hand-raise them.  It was  a pretty good deal -- Dad paid for everything and when they were sold, we got the money in our savings account.s

On the other hand, selling something you've raised by hand is never easy -- don't name your pig!!

I only want my milk from cows and I only want it after it has been processed to death.  1%, please.

I remember going to neighbors who did have cows and I could hardly choke down the milk they drank.  I'll take mine from the store, please.

Oh, and I want the cows to be corn fed not grass fed.

Okay, okay, I'm a little picky.

Yeah.... It's much easier to eat them yourself.

Bison... no human who has ever tasted the milk survived the experience of obtaining it.

Goats... for hippies and weirdos I suppose

Pigs... you'd make some poor runt of the litter suffer just so you can enjoy a nice glass of milk?

Raccoons... their teats are too small and I can't get good suction, jury is still out on the taste as a result

Rattlesnake... tastes like chicken milk

BTW, where is the potent offense?

You'll have to finance the next ModCon if you want another 20-run outburst when we attend a game.

How do you know? I just pick up a steak... unwrap it and cook it.

Actually... My wife unwraps it and cooks it.

What was(were) the name of the pig(s) that gave you that lesson?

There is just something really wrong with that sentence.

Edit:  Okay ... I edited to what it first said when I went to quote it ...

I guess we did have chickens when I was pretty young -- kind of forgot that.

I always laugh when I see the HGTV programs, etc. about the people who want to have "urban chickens".

Been pecked enough, thank you.  And I'd just as soon never see another chicken hanging from a tree with its head chopped off -- geez my Mom and Grandma had stronger stomachs than me.

FWIW my mom grew up on a farm and she talked about her pet piglet Sunny Jim.  (I don't think the Bottomley family had anything to do with that.)

Brian got the thread talking about  boobs. Nice job.

Delmon Young... I still don't like the guy.

Those posts appeared next to each other.

Glunn and I talked awhile about it and he'd like a pig and some chickens and I'm pulling for him. I'm also curious what Mrs. Drysdale is going to say about it.

Yeah, not every comedy gem is that way on first draft. :)

JB you didn't grow up around Hooterville did you?

They talk about their Buffalo Wings but they ain't that great... I stopped going there and usually choose Applebeeville or Ground Roundville instead.

I think Hooterville was actually in the eastern part of Iowa....

at least that's what Sam Drucker told me.
