sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 You need to get past these primitive superstitions. It was a butterfly flapping its wings in Madagascar.Where Madagascar is Camden park, wings are bats, and Chris Davis is a butterfly? Yeah, you're right. i think i need new primitive superstitions. And at least Delmon didn't inflict the damage, and Hardy only walked. But it's still entertaining to talk about 'em. And we got two base runners that inning. I think there's still hope for us.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I've been holding off, small sample size and all, but I'm having a hard time picturing May as a top of the rotation kind of guy. Stuff just doesn't look that good so far.You didn't see promise in the first three innings? What I didn't like was the "cleansing breaths" or whatever they were, that he started doing after a couple of bad pitches. He doesn't have command of himself (even if that's a foolish attempt at mind-reading on my part). He needs to fix that before he really will have command of his pitches.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Your hovercraft is full of eels?I was told that my tourist dictionary was strictly accurate. I will see about obtaining a refund. Bouncy bouncy?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Apparently a big part of his problem is that he thinks too much. Pitches inside his head. Wonder if that game turns out better? In all seriousness... I haven't seen a pitcher this messed up... In quite some time.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Run schafer!(If you mean the attempt to save the HR.) Could break a wrist or forearm on a play like that. Looks like he just plain missed the ball. Went into the fan's glove cleanly.
