Oh Lord! Now I am going to start hoping that Joe Mauer can hit like Joe Mauer for the rest of the season.

I suppose you should never go by one game, and this is the Astros, but he was actually kind of Joe Mauer like the couple of weeks prior to his DL stint.  Hopefully he will have a solid last 6 weeks.

I am guessing there are a bunch of people on the Strib page upset because they were all ready to post a comment how Mauer is not clutch and only hits meaningless singles and has destroyed the Twins, the moose population, and the water level of White Bear Lake.

 

I liked Dead Poet's Society when it came out. It would be interesting to see what I think of it as an adult. I saw it at that age when you tend to think a lot of things are deep. I thought he did some good voice work for Aladin.

That's a great one.  I'll use it in the future as the followup for my favorite about 3 kids: when you go from 2 children to 3, you and your wife have to switch from a man-to-man defense to a zone.

You can't blame the spring flooding on Mauer, that was Anderson's fault.

It makes no difference where Mauer plays, if he hits like Joe Mauer.  We have Vargas, Dozier, Arcia, Plouffe & Parmalee to hit home runs... and they will only get better.

I'm ticked off at the official scorer. Dozier should have gotten credit for a hit on his dribbler to the right side. Then he gives an extra RBI to Mauer (since changed).
