I've seen the replay, and it looks like the 1B didn't get into position to get the cutoff and the SS was out of the play. He still should have done something with it - probably just threw home anyway, but his cutoff man didn't do him any favors.

That's a great one.  I'll use it in the future as the followup for my favorite about 3 kids: when you go from 2 children to 3, you and your wife have to switch from a man-to-man defense to a zone.

Beyond three the numbers don't matter, it's just herding.
