Things to Think About:

1. Sale vs Darnell -- On paper we were supposed to lose that matchup last night. However... the Twins scoring 8 runs was not supposed to happen against Sale. And if you score 8 runs... you shouldn't lose the game. Darnell gets a thumbs down and so does the bullpen. And while the thumb is in the down position. My thumb is down because I don't want to give the White Sox hitters any credit at all.

2. Jake Petricka -- Last night... I got a chance to actually watch him pitch and despite making it interesting... I gotta say... He was sharp. A local boy out of Faribault High School... Right here in Minnesota. The Twins let one get out of the state. Petricka apparently has quietly become the Sox closer and it looks like he could stay there for awhile. He's got a real hard sinker with good movement on it. If it wasn't for a couple of scratch infield singles for the Twins. The end wouldn't have been interesting at all. This Petricka kid can throw.

3. Yohan Pino -- Pino toes the rubber tonight against Scott Carroll. A match up of a couple pitchers who are trying to keep the major league dream alive. Yohan has been interesting during his short time. He doens't throw comparatively high. He throws hard for High School but for the majors... he doesn't throw hard at all but he mixes it up and does a decent job hitting his spots and if he does that today... He will be OK... If he doesn't... The Way the Sox are hitting... It'll be trouble. The Sox seem to be ready to cash in on a few mistakes.

4. Kennys Vargas -- Kennys got that MLB Debut out of the way last night. He can at least celebrate with a double in his debut. I'm going to hold off judgement until I see him with a few more breaking pitches. As of last night... He looked dangerous every time he came to the plate but I think he saw some major league pitches and a few of them he didn't know what to do with them. Patience everyone... Let's hope his learning curve is real quick.

5. Optometry -- I've worn glasses for quite some time now. I was in Elementary school when I got my first pair. My eyes were never that bad... Just a little bit whatever. As a matter of fact... Until I was 45 years old. I would take off my glasses at the DMV when taking my vision test and I would pass it every time. Therefore... I was legal to drive without glasses. Fast forward to today... I couldn't take that test and pass. I now take off my glasses to read and then put them back on to see stuff out the window... I never knew if I was far sighted or near sighted when I was younger... I was just a little of whatever it was... and now that I'm older... Far Sighted? Near Sighted? I could care less because I think I'm both.

Okay, so Darnell imploded last night. Now he has pitched badly in consecutive starts.

So... The Twins have to promote May at this point, don't they?

Don't they?

Sigh.

I sure hope they do.

Hey Brock, what's a rocket pig?

Lol, I really hope that's not what Brock is meaning.

Sam Fuld just made a pretty good throw to get Alex Gordon out at the plate.

Kennys prefers the name Kenny.  I guess we have that question settled.

And it barely looked like Kenny swung there.  If he can hit that far with that type of swing, I can't wait to see how far the ball goes when he takes a full swing.

It's tough to get excited when half your runs came in from double plays. On the plus side, not losing!

Anyone bidding on "Dinner with Hawk" in the White Sox ultimate auction?

Hawk used to scrape me like sandpaper, but now he's just sorta irritating. It could be because when the Sox are good his homerisms grate that much more.

Can't work under such pressure. I'm old, dadgumit. "Sounds of Silence" and "Stairway to Heaven" would be two not on the list.

Yes, but only for the opportunity to shout "He gone" after I get to the restaurant and ask for a table for 1.

I've just changed the rules.  I need six songs.

Red Dirt Girl - Emmylou Harris.

Has to be in there somewhere.  If you look up "how to write a song" on google it comes up with this as an example.  Or it should, anyway.
