[Hosken Bombo Disco]

With all the 70s rock somebody's gotta say Thunder Island, Joe Ferguson..

With McCartney playing in Minneapolis tonight you can't crack a beer anywhere without hearing a Beatles or McCartney song

[JB_Iowa]

Five Songs:

7th Song

Pachelbel's Canon in D.

May I have the David Lanz version?

[diehardtwinsfan]

I got to chose the song for the father-daughter dance at my daughter's wedding...Pachelbel's Canon in D.

My wife walked down the aisle to that. I wouldn't let her do Here Comes the Bride.

[diehardtwinsfan]

May I have the David Lanz version?

Too much piano. Not enough strings.

[Riverbrian]

Ain't music great...when I hear Joe Cocker's version, not only do I think "that arrangement is a million times better than the original," I think "Cocker sounds so much more distraught. Like the song is supposed to be about."

Plus, I really love the piano work.

I could be wrong, of course.

You ain't wrong at all and that is exactly why music is great. A song has to fit you and when it does... You know it.

Many Artists will not say publicly what a song is really about because they want the listener to fill in that blank with themselves. The songs on my list... I have personally made them greater then they are because of my how I fill in that blank.

Down By The River is a great song because it's about overcoming addiction. If Neil were to say... Nah... I put a cap in some infants ass and that's what it's about... That song would plummet off my list.

BTW... Artie Butler on Piano... Mad Dogs and Englishmen. I agree that Artie nailed it and don't forget the percussion. The percussion moves the song along.

[Dr. Evil]

okay ... my 7th ... Walking on Sunshine (Katrina and the Waves)

good lord..........

[Tibs]

I knew having an infielder in the outfield would work out at some point! Gardy the Chess Master!

[GCTF]

Thanks Eaton

Strings?  Who wants strings.

I'm a piano devotee.

[ScrapTheNickname]

Did Hawk just say, "The one thing is, his right hand hit the bag before he tagged him."

He is scraping me.

[USAFChief]

Clever of Plouffe-sie to muff the liner to entice Eaton into making the third out at second base.

[Willihammer]

Eaton still barking about that call. What does he want?

If he put a cap on some infant's ass

he could be accused of badly dressing a child.

[D. Hocking]

I kind of wish Ozzie was still in the dug-out right now.

No one has The Night Chicago Died on their list?

[GCTF]

He can make you yell at your TV.

[USAFChief]

good lord..........

You got the title wrong.

It's "My Sweet Lord."  George Harrison, of course.

[Riverbrian]

good lord..........

Walking on Sunshine is a guilty pleasure of mine. "And don't it feel good" and then the horns.

Great driving in the car tune... Loud volume... Windows open and singing along.

I can do Katrina and the Waves and Black Sabbath.

[USAFChief]

Did Hawk just say, "The one thing is, his right hand hit the bag before he tagged him."

He is scraping me.

Did he get a "You gotta be BLEEPIN' ME!" in there somewhere?

[Circus Boy]

No, it means you have zero warning points.  Has nothing to do with ever having any, it's just showing you you are at zero.  And hopefully will stay at zero.

Hey, I'm twice the zero he is.

I admit to signing along at loud volume to at least 3 ABBA songs whenever I hear em.  Not proud of it, but there it is.

You are the dancin' queen...

[Tibs]

Danny Santana!!! Man he just keeps hitting.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Danny Santana, power hitter!

[GCTF]

I love Hawk's silence as the ball goes over the fence.

[USAFChief]

Santana-Zee!

Absolutely... Thunder Island... No doubt. Sha La La La La La my lady.

Or Shakedown cruise or anything from Spirit... I got a line on you... That was also Jay Ferguson.

[GCTF]

Did he get a "You gotta be BLEEPIN' ME!" in there somewhere?

No but there may have been a dadgummit and a consarnit.

[JB_Iowa]

Guilty Pleasures....

The first warm day of Spring

Windows open, top open or down, breaking the speed limit ...

And the Beach Boys' "Endless Summer" tracks.

Nothing makes me feel younger ... and nothing else makes me feel like summer will soon be here.

[Tibs]

Are you guys naming off your favorite songs?

[Riverbrian]

I admit to signing along at loud volume to at least 3 ABBA songs whenever I hear em.  Not proud of it, but there it is.

You are the dancin' queen...

To Love Somebody -- Bee Gees... Impossible not to sing along with

[Circus Boy]

Y'know, ever since Chief's 7,000 post, the Twins have been losing. I say we DFA his ass.
