I will cheer for any team you need anti-hexed.

I think you should just focus on whoever the Twins are playing. You do not want to dilute your great anti-hex powers. They are a gift and should be used wisely.

I see Mauer has the lowest slugging percentage of any player who has held a bat for the Twins today. The next lowest is Trevor Plouffe who's number is 70 points higher.

You're supposed to rip Mauer when he's having a bad game! Get with the program.

Well, to be fair, you can't really expect ANYone to keep up with the likes of Danny Santana.

Seeing Morales on the bench surrounded by 5 young Hispanic kids just drives home the idea that the Twins need to add a Hispanic coach...or two.

No worries. I am Spartacus.

The way the pen has been pitching lately... do you really pull the ball out of Hughes hand the way he's performed today?

You do when he's already thrown 100 pitches.

Why you put it in Burton's hands is a different question.

No.

I think Hughes kind of decides when he wants out ... at least most of the time that's what it sounds like.

Why do we always bring out Burton in these situations? He always seems to give up at least one run.

Then these would be the situations we should bring him in lol

Agreed, but hey it was 6-0. One big swing and this is really close.

It just never ceases to amaze me how many bad 0-2 pitches the Twins make. There should NEVER be a ringing double on an 0-2 pitch. Never. A bloop, an excuse me check swing grounder that sneaks down the line...maybe. A pitch that can be roped? Fine his ass!

On the plus side...Phil Hughes!

I don't see why any pitcher who had a SO going into the 8th would ever take himself out... if he did, he needs to get a bottle of "ManUp" pills and take 2...

I don't know if he's trying to appease Gardenhire or what but it just seems like in most stories, he was ready to come out.

I'm Brian!

No, i'm not really brian, i was just pulling your leg... (too lazy to look up the actual quote...)

We still have a lead, and perhaps we'll pad it this inning?

Not supportive of keeping Burton around. Deduno can return to the bullpen. He seems to do alright for one inning, if there isn't a runner onboard when he comes in.

I don't think Tonkin or Pino would do any worse...

It is today's game. Pitchers are done after 100 pitches. Complete games are a rarity. Hughes is under contract for three years and isn't pitching for another contract for awhile. He seems to be comfortable going 7 or 8 and stepping out. If he's able to pitch like today every day, I personally will take seven innings.
