diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Dear Hicks, When the pitcher throws you a strike, you do actually have to swing the bat.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Saw that breaking ball 3d strike coming a mile away.

WLFINN Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Dear Hicks, When the pitcher throws you a strike, you do actually have to swing the bat.well technically.........
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 well technically......... heheh... point taken... though he watched all 3 strikes and managed to foul off a two strike pitch in that at bat. Kind of sad. I like working the count, but I get the distinct impression he needs to swing the bat a bit more.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Let me guess the scenario. We fall assbackwards into a couple runs. Immediately give up 4 or more. Do nothing until the last minute only to fall short by a run. Jeez Gibby... The inspiration is just dripping off you... Ain't it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Santana has a lot of 4's in his stat line.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Jeez Gibby... The inspiration is just dripping off you... Ain't it. Sorry, weird day. I almost physically assaulted my contractor today. I better get to the beer fridge stat.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 What did she do? I would have gotten better work out of my wife and daughters, with the dog in charge, than I get with this guy.
WLFINN Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 A steal and a hit to the opposite field....bring em in Zuke
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I would have gotten better work out of my wife and daughters, with the dog in charge than I get with this guy. So... He's probably not coming to for endorsement.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 So... He's probably not coming to for endorsement. No, but my refund is keeping my displeasure off-line.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Remember when the Twins were super lefty heavy in the lineup, and how this was a problem when facing the Yankees in the playoffs in 2010? Lots of RH vs. RHP now.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 What's he building A crappy reputation.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 You make catches like that when you are winning.
Tibs Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Ahhh Trevor ripped that one and it was barely snagged
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Son of a biscuit. Couldn't have said it better. Snakebit.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Well that was an above-average catch
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Re: the thread on Dozier's baserunning, he took a nice cruise into third base here in the third. Nothing extraordinary, nothing a lot of other players wouldn't have done, but good gracious, he runs the bases with conviction, making up his mind at exactly the right point before reaching second and just goes so smoothly.
