Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 So he must be thurst into the starting shortstop role then? I don't know why he would come up only just to sit on the bench. Because their only other option on the 40 man would have been a 4th catcher. Per Bernadino, "Escobar to be the everyday SS".
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Really nice, plouffe, 2 k's already and with men on 3rd. Probably get a meaningless single somewhere tonight.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 We're waiting on the "date report". Not a "date". Just a fun dinner with someone I have not seen for 35 years or so. She brought her daughter, her son-in-law and one of her grandchildren. We had a lot of fun talking about old times and new times. The magic was still there, but I am a married man and would never do anything that would resemble a date.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 For you trivia fans Twins are 1 for their last 13 w/RISP, and 8 out of their last 46. Very 2013ish. Ugh.Regression to the mean sucks.

When we were younger we had dates by the extra so tossing them aside because of technicalities was no problem. Now... If I go out to the bar with a bald guy named Lou just to have a couple beers.... I call it a date.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 That's one of the lamest boots by an infielder I've seen in quite some time. Thank god it wasn't us... I would have lost sleep over it.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 What's happening on the field? Competent pitching and pretty poor hitting for the Twins. That's a change, but much more like what was expected.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 What's wrong with the offense tonight?

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 The back-cover bi-fold image was like a gateway drug to origami. And, like everything else in Mad, a parody. Of the Playboy centerfold, of all things. Thanks for posting the pic of Al. He looks like Belushi's smarter, more cynical older brother. RIP, Mr. Feldstein. You made lots of people laugh, which is a pretty great legacy in my book.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Nolasco goes 9. That is a silver lining in the midst of a four game losing streak.

Might be a fire-starter, but considering the fact that there were alarming trends in his 2013 numbers that warranted concern before the concussion, it's worth throwing out there.

Is the rotation ERA below 6 now? Afraid to look. RE: Typing 'Ubaldo'. Yeah. Somethin' ain't right there. Still have hair on my head, but still...

Delete button still won't erase either the double post or the dog poop in my yard. And 'Frozen' fruit snack didn't restore energy either. Blaming the aliens who stole my identity and vacationed on my dime in Peru. Very happy you haven't been swept away in a potential flood, btw.
