GCTF Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 He's only 35. You can't give up on that potential. Just look at Colabello. Maybe he should be figuring it out in the Greenland League.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Five walks in the first inning. The Twins continue to hurtle towards a franchise record.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Is it a tight zone or is everyone just wild today? I'm listening on radio
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Ugh, staked to a 3-0 lead, first four pitches from Nolasco showing no touch at all.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Is it a tight zone or is everyone just wild today? I'm listening on radio Nolasco wasn't cheated on any of his first pitches.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Florimon! We missed you!It looks like he might give us four more chances to miss his offensive contribution.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 7 balls, 2 strikes, 2 outs
Tibs Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I love double plays when we're on defense.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Maybe he should be figuring it out in the Greenland League. They tried to join the association of independent leagues, but were told they were just a little toooo independent.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I think a fetus could pitch to Florimon and strike him out. There's a joke in there somewhere. Loadin' them up with vernix caseosa.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I love double plays when we're on defense. Jennings looked really slow going down to first.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 There's a joke in there somewhere. Loadin' them up with vernix caseosa. Ew.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'm listening on radio I'm watching on a kaleidoscope. Well pitched game so far.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 This is getting real ugly for the Rays.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Who the Rays have in their bullpen? Oi. They used everyone yesterday. With Balfour, Lueke and Gomes going more than an inning. They might have to pull a starter to finish the game if Bedard can't make it through the next couple innings.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 C'mon, Mauer! Work the count!
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 SSS fact:The Twins are on pace to score 116 first inning runs. They scored 65 first inning runs last year.
big dog Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 OK, I'm enjoying this game pretty well so far. Last night Mauer swung and missed at a first pitch, today it's a solid single to right. Let's go, extra inning Trev!
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Looks like everyone is getting 7 ab's today.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Looks like everyone is getting 7 ab's today. PAs. [/nitpick]
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Runner on third, less than two outs, can't get him home. Typical.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Gotta be happy if you're Nolasco - staked to an early lead and had a short first inning of work despite being a little wild.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'm not complaining. Good change of pace from the early scores of yester-year... i mean last year. Had been hoping to see Dozier lead off 3 innings in a row, but oh well.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Fuld with a wealth distribution play right there.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Can we go back to Effectively Wild Nolasco?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'm guessing four runs won't be enough.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Just saw Reusse ribbing Mayer on twitter for RBI total vs Fulds. Why are people bashing the guy who will likely end up being our best statistical hitter by end of season? He will be the reason why this offense continues to be successful long-term. People that want to complain about one of top offenses currently, should be whining about Flo and Hicks.

big dog Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 and the Twins have restored life to David DeJesus this series.
