sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Do you hit Kubel for hicks next? If Fuld moves em over? Or too soon? Masterful reverse jinx! Wish i could do that...
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Hicksie tomahawked that one!
njweismantel Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Maybe that home run along with a good at bat for a walk earlier will start a positive streak for Hicks.
njweismantel Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Good quick inning for Nolasco there. Always a good thing to get the guys back in the dugout quickly after putting up a few runs.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Is it politically incorrect to yell, "banzai!!" every time Suzuki drives in a run?
njweismantel Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Suzuki with another big 2-out hit. I don't think anyone expected the bottom half of the lineup to have 6 hits and 8 rbi's. That is impressive considering florimonster is 0-3
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Is it politically incorrect to yell, "banzai!!" every time Suzuki drives in a run? While I'm not Asian so I can't say for sure, I'm going to guess "yes". Plus, the dude was born in Hawaii.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Is it politically incorrect to yell, "banzai!!" every time Suzuki drives in a run? It's a time-honored Hawaiian war chant, I'm sure no one would think twice about it. / edit - scooped by the Brockmeister

Boom Boom Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Is it politically incorrect to yell out "you betcha" when Joe Mauer drives in a run? That will be important to know if it ever happens. Zing!

Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 If burton gets in...im leaving
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 If burton gets in...im leaving If Burton gets in, the lead is large enough many others will be leaving too.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'm guessing four runs won't be enough. Ricky only made it into the 6th inning before proving you correct.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 HA. Take that Toronto. You can have Mastro, we'll get younger. Hm. A player for whom injuries seem to have eroded his skills, versus a player who hasn't shown enough stick to forecast much success. The classic win-win trade.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 How about in honor of his ancestors? Send him a fan letter and ask.
njweismantel Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Maybe it is sad, but I only feel really comfortable when the Twins are up by more than four runs that way one swing of the bat at anytime can't tie it.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 whew - pitcher's best friend to the rescue
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Does that count as a QS, for a MN pitcher? I'll admit, so far, Suzuki is about 1000000x the player I pitctured when they acquired him.

A player for whom injuries seem to have eroded his skills, versus a player who hasn't shown enough stick to forecast much success. The classic win-win trade. if nothing else it adds another "true CF" to the organization. Maybe the Twins will have fewer middle infielders playing CF in the minors if they add another guy?
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 By mentioning the fact that I'm jinxing things, I'm actually reverse jinxing things...but I can't remember ever seeing the Twins' offense be this hot for this long.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Does that count as a QS, for a MN pitcher? On a similar note, if Florimon pops up four times in a game and it's fielded by the 1b, 2b, ss and 3b, does Elias give him credit for hitting for the cycle?
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
