LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Price utterly failing at pitching to contact tonight, yet recording several outs... http://www.gkworld.com/media/img/gkworld/W275-H385-Bffffff/I/item29531pb_jpg.jpghttp://www.gkworld.com/media/img/gkworld/W275-H385-Bffffff/I/item29531pb_jpg.jpg
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Well that was ugly but at least it only ended up being 3 and a bunch of pitches. That's the spirit! Could have been 8 walks and six runs or something crazy like that...
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Price is looking awfully right... Right now.http://www.thoughtrot.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Miami-Real-Esate-The-Price-is-Right.jpg
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I know I ask this a lot, but does anyone know of an available audio stream?MLB audio is like $20 a year.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I'll take door #1.Only if the price is right.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Okay, this post would have been much more meaningful if I had done it 4 hours ago, but I've been out and just got home, so this is my first chance. When I heard this afternoon that Gibson went out and played 18 holes of golf on a tough TPC course yesterday, I was pissed. It reminded me of the days that Ron Davis was blowing saves regularly while getting only four hours of sleep because he needed to get up to go fishing. I know that most of the team golfed yesterday, and I don't begrudge them that. But a starting pitcher can't be golfing the day before his scheduled start. Pitching is all about routine, and pitchers will tell you they stick to a strict schedule of activities between starts. And there is very little margin for error in the art of pitching, and chiropractors will tell you that golf does weird things to your body alignment. Gibson's poor start was predictable, and a player's coach like Gardy won't hold him accountable. I wonder if David Price went golfing yesterday?

BigTrane Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Only if the price is right.Think this is where you bid $1...

And Bob is like, 5 of them. Good gig if you can get it, though. PS Where is his other hand?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I know it's considered bad form to discuss a no-hitter in progress, but are we also not supposed to mention a perfect game in progress? Because David Price is throwing a perfect game. That's right, through three, a perfect game. Not a single base runner. 9 up, 9 down. Perfecto. Zilcho baserunners-oh. Just wondering what the rules are for a perfect game.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 PS Where is his other hand? Common knowledge that his left hand is black.

NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 A perfect game with 20+ strikeouts is looking somewhat realistic at this point.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Gibson just can't handle the windy conditions tonight.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Common knowledge that his left hand is black. He prefers the term 'giftedly tan'. And it's attached to a pretty damn long left arm.
blindeke Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 At this point, does anyone really think that Hicks will even make contact against a Price pitch?
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 As bad as this has been for Gibson, if we catch a pop up, one run has scored so far. Florimon is a special player.

Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Arm extension in 2001, google it. The Twins should adopt some 12 year old orphan and get him that surgery. By the time he was 18 they could have him touching 110 on the radar gun.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Arm extension in 2001, google it.You're right, good catch. And something I'd never heard of, "Eyeball whitening". Thankfully there are no images.
