Last night Washington had 16 hits, but somehow found a way to go 0-16 with RISP.

After today, Danny Santana is on pace to be on the roster for 11 games, and on pace for zero starts, and zero plate appearances.

But hey, he is taking some practice reps in the OF!

Come on now, knock that off. He couldn't get those types of practice reps in AAA and everyone knows that. When Molly hits me, they are soooo game-like.

Aaron Hicks has an ugly slash line of .178/.315/.260 for an OPS of .575, which is...wait for it...223 points better than Pedro Florimon.

Florimonzie's triple slash now stands at:

.109

.186

.156

wRC+ of negative 5.

84 of the 187 batters on Fangraphs qualified leaderboard have a higher OBP than Florie's .342 OPS.

But that's not a fair comparison because one of those numbers is a composite of... oh wait.

Twins are on pace for...81 wins!

Some kind of California math? Please, show your work.

The Twins have 4 guys (all qualified) in the top 30 OPS in MLB.

Pinto - 16

Colabello - 20

Plouffe - 21

Kubel - 27

It's a good thing our pitching has picked up recently because we no longer have anyone in the top 50

Of the nine Twins hitters with the most PAs this season, seven have an OPS+ over 100.

Gibson has an ERA of 3.50, and is in the top 20 in AL in ERA! When is the last time the Twins had a starter towards the top of the league in ERA?

Danny Santana has an OPS of 2.000!*

* - Found in the Oxford English Dictionary under the definition of "Sample size, small."

Gibson, after his third start.

Probably Scott Diamond in 2012

Kyle Gibson has one more walk (17) than strikeout (16)

Suzuki has an even more favorable ratio of 11/7.

Dozier's .814 OPS leads all MLB hitters batting .250 or less. No one else is over .800.

He's already a valuable offensive player, but once that .250 BAPIP moves up a bit he could be really special.

As of today:

Pedro Florimon OPS - 0.342

Two players have a higher ISO (isolated power) than that:

Troy Tulowitzki - 0.379

Jose Abreu - 0.354

As of today:

Santana no longer an MLB SS virgin.

Note that this is more a case of topology than statistics.
