  1. If we can get anything for our glut of AAA starters I'm all for it. I want to keep Gibson, Berrios, Pineda, Mejia and Romero the rest AAA or above have at it. Of course then add an Odorizzi upgrade or keep him if that doesn't happen.
  2. Hey I got like 15 likes on one post earlier and yeah I'm riding high right now but wouldn't you think my profile would be up for a promotion? The Wahoo's? IDK string a few of these together, moderator?
  3. I've read a little about Mr Baldelli and his is a tough story. I think this man is hungry after having something he worked his whole life for ripped away.
  4. I have an uninformed opinion and am wholly optimistic!!! Yeah!!
  5. This random poster likes watching Joe play first. TE size catch radius! His fellow infielders probably would agree. I like good defense in all sports nothing worse than those college football games where the last team with the ball wins. All that said this low A poster can't back that up with analytics
  6. Yep two guys like that are a good start.
  7. I'm on board with this. Spend the same as last year and bring in some lumber. If they're worried about a roster of one year mercenaries then carefully pick one prime addition for a longer 2-3 year deal.
  8. If they had won just 3 more games they would have been at 500. Considering all that went wrong and that list is shockingly long, that's not bad. I think we'll find out what the future might look like for Sano and Buxton next year. Kepler too. One look at Sano in the spring will tell. They may not all pan out but 2 out of 3? Bats n bullpen this off-season. They've mentioned trades as well as longer free agent acquisitions. I'm excited for this long off-season. In my worst case scenario they are at least competitive with this core while the talent from below trickles in to maybe spark something. Sounds better than annual 100 L's!☺
  9. We are in for an eventful off-season fasten your seatbelts it's going to be a bumpy ride!
  10. I'm glad this happened, I want this FO to do its thing and see what happens. I did get frustrated with Molitor as a manager. He is articulate though albeit with a unique style. Thoughtful. I find that refreshing in sports especially when compared to a guy like Zimmer who seems to wear his butchery of the English language like a badge of honor.
  11. I'm on board with this choice. We all like to see when someone gets knocked down and picks themselves up. Gibson has been knocked down a few times I'd say. The higher FB velocity would be because he went to the 4 seamer more and less of the sinker.
  12. Maybe but can you really see Buxton hot out of the box? I see all four of them worked in to the mix and slowly allowing Buxton tougher matchups
  13. Like these recaps and your overall upbeat style!
  14. I would extend Gibson. I would bet this will be his prime, the next three/ four years. Looked like he had everything at his disposal yesterday after 200 innings. Dialed in!
  15. In one fewer start Gibby has 191 innings vs Odo at 164. About an inning a start. 3.6 vs 1.5 war. I would say more was expected of Odo which could impact that impression.
  16. I think money is just one factor. They definitely have set themselves up well in that department. My reference to a shopping spree is they don't just get to choose what they put in the cart but the products have a say plus there is only one of each on the shelf so you have competition from other shoppers to contend with. It sure is fun to imagine your ultimate FA team but quite another to actually pull it off.
  17. Yep just like a trip to Aldi, "aww just toss it in the cart"
  18. I think is important to add that radar guns may have cause a damaging fixation on pitch velocity resulting in the rise of this injury.
  19. Sano should have a full off season and no reason why he can't show up ITBSOHL (in the best shape of his life). One look at him in the spring may be telling. I would think Buxton would be super motivated, whether or not the twins need to be vilified in his motivational equation I guess we'll find out. The clubhouse seemed to have good chemistry early on while they were still in it. They seemed to be a fun bunch. The poor performances or absences of at least a half dozen key team members ground down all the good vibes
  20. I don't know, if someone in the trades is that good they usually will go out on their own with the ability to make unlimited money or create a business at any scale. Just like sports the most driven in any business or occupation will take it as far as they do. The 10000 hour rule would apply here. In sports or any activity the best have put in an obsessive amount of work, an amount many would not be willing to replicate.
  21. This is what I've been thinking about today after reading on this site about the great run he's been on. I think both Rogers and Hildenberger have proven to be reliable and useful bullpen pieces. Let's hope Molly can practice some restraint with them the rest of the way.
