  1. It's not as simple as that. For context I would include Hicks' early years when he was OPSing in the 600's. Buxton might just play more games this year and get his own run of 800 OPS seasons started.
  2. "If even one of those things broke the Indians’ way, maybe this game ends differently." Maybe, maybe....ah let's go Odo!
  3. Lurch may be finally getting it together this year just like we expected after his strong finish last year. Hitting 98? I'm in
  4. Well I hope Mr Rogers has a nice relaxing break! Here here! I raise my glass to ya!
  5. Sounds good except I don't think we want to give up the depth right now.
  6. Well we always talk about selling high and maybe the Twins thought they were with Pressly. Well then there you have it. Maybe the Twins need a magic eightball and an ivy league educated magic eightball operator.
  7. Perez didn't look good at all early this year so there is that.
  8. Duffy has looked good. We've all seem him implode as well. When do we start to trust guys like him and Gibby and May for that matter guys who seem to get rattled? I guess they have a chance of gaining confidence and fortitude. Time will tell but with his stuff I do think they should give him a chance.
  9. He and Duffy seem to be some development success stories. If those two and May can pitch the way they did last night it'll take some pressure off the blue chip fireman they bring in on a trade!
  10. I think it's safe to say Max has turned a corner. He's has some cold steaks but has turned it around quickly.
  11. The Yankees proved now is go time. When everybody's healthy over there we are talking a heavyweight scrum for top AL (MLB) lineup. We gotta move, man. Sign Gibby now! I think he will be easier right now than Berrios and maybe a hair cheaper right now than in the off season. I think he has more value than MadBum. A trade for bullpen help too. We need two one really good and another mid level maybe specialist type. A good starter like MadBum won't move the needle for this team like BP help. Yeah we could move Perez or Pineda to the pen but how did Perez look there early this year? Straight up BP help is priority #1 & 2.
  12. One for the suggestion box: I like how you have pared down the top twenty list to only those who played. Now that you have a little extra space how about having a season stat line to go with their days performance for overall perspective (for the lazy man)?
  13. Fun game and crisp at 2:40. Smeltzer just goes to work and we may just have something there. I would like to see one more and give him another week with Wes. He is one guy I do not see using in the pen. For me he makes better sense as much needed rotation depth.
  14. Smeltzer was fun to watch. He came at hitters and seemed to have the same arm slot on every pitch.
  15. I thought I heard we have the easiest remaining schedule in the division.
  16. *Gardenhire was a guest this week on Starting 9, the second best non-team specific podcast out there right now IMHO. I highly suggest checking it out if you haven't yet. He's such an amazing interview. What's the best non-team specific podcast?
  17. This is a very good point. I doubt many of these Latin players grew up laying on the wall to wall carpeting, staring into their iPads while nibbling on Pringles and sipping soda. Oh s*** I spilled I'll have to finish this later
  18. Aye-Ray is Chief's nickname for Adrianza. Adrianza is a fine ballplayer but this kid has some excitement and energy about him that fits well with this club.
  19. Aye-Ray has no options I think it is time to make the switch and I think Arraez makes this an easy choice. It's obviously only a few games but he gives me the same impression I got from polanco when he came up also from way down on the farm.
  20. Two weeks till the draft. Let's go shopping! Ok I'll admit I don't know the rules. So after the draft they can sign a guy like Kimbrel and not have to give up a pick, but why are trades so rare until right before the deadline? Are trades impacted by the timing of the draft? I want to see them trade some assets for some heat in the pen.
  21. I'm really glad we've got a 3 o'clock start today. That's a payback for the late West coast start times and a perfect Sunday start. Not so early you can't get anything done.
