    For some reason there was less whining on this site when they were losing 90-100 games every year. Now it's Stribian.

    I'm surprised they went with 15 seconds. I would've thought 18. Seems fast, but I'm not complaining, I'm all for it. Nothing better than watching a pitcher work fast and deal. Some pitchers are going to have a hard time with this (Archer) and velocity will drop for many. This may reduce pitchers throwing with max effort because of the shorter recovery time, resulting in less velocity and maybe less injury. This will be interesting.

    This season has been particularly frustrating. Start out hot to get our hopes up, then play worse than mediocre baseball sprinkling in an alarming amount of heartbreaking, crushing defeats. This makes sense to me that fans are frustrated. What I don't get is the seething vitriol for Rocco Baldelli. Something about the man must rub many the wrong way. I don't share these feelings, I kinda like him as he is a little different from the usual sports figure in a head coaching role. Not as wound up. On the other hand he was actually a really good player whereas Kelly and Gardy were AAAA utility guys at best. The animus towards him is so great that I haven't felt the opportunity to be critical of the guy because that is plenty well handled without me. My biggest problem with the leadership of this team is not Rocco, it is the front office for not signing at least a couple of QUALITY free agent pitchers. At least a starter and reliever. Spend some money instead of organizational capital.

    Contrast Ryan's rookie season with Berrios' and he looks pretty damn good. Yes Berrios was a few years younger. Still Ryan can improve just as Berrios did. Ryan seems to have regained strength since his COVID bout and in his last start was hitting 95 with the fastball, maybe even 96 once, I can't remember. Anyway he needs to work on the off-speed stuff, but there's no reason he can't improve.

    I agree with some points here especially that the third time through at bats are primarily against the best hitters. That makes a lot a sense. Using Archer as your example doesn't make sense. Have you watched him pitch this year? Every start by the 3rd or 4th inning he completely loses the ability to find the plate. He would be the last pitcher you should extend.

    Hats off to Thielbar, the man is tough as nails and keeps getting it done. He's 35, but are we going to see him again next year? I like his moxie and would give it another go. Boy did he get some gift calls this time. Thought the umps always did us in at Yankee Stadium lol. Fulmer showed some guts as well. Lopez needs to chill out.

    Yeah what did happen there. All I saw on TV was the 3rd base coach halfway down the line and a few paces back from it. Not the position you would expect of someone applying the stop sign. They did let him go there? I just don't get that, he had no chance. Celestino was getting a talking to on the bench I have to believe he ran on his own?

    That's interesting and there is some truth there. Good thing our manager is a ballplayer through and through. Star player at a premium defensive position. Played ball his whole life to the exclusion of all else. He chose baseball over education, ending his education at a high school diploma. Baseball lifer.

    I have never seen a Twins manager jump into the fray so quickly and decisively. He got it exactly right, they wanted to win and hitting a batter would not help in that goal, so he led the charge to defend his squad on the mound that was the Twins mound in that half inning. Baldelli is described as too passive. Just remember still waters run deep.

    Hardly. I did not whine, I pointed out the hypocrisy of the complaint and classified it as a whine. That's how I see it. Anyone can continue to express themselves as they see fit and I'll continue to offer my opinion. You must be able to understand that as someone who clearly enjoys expressing their opinion.

    That is me. I see complaints about not moving runners over, stealing bases ect. almost daily. So me, being myself, said what I wanted to say.
