    After feeling a little demoralized by Mr Bieber this is just unbelievable. The depth this regime has established is like nothing any Twins team has ever had. I sure hope this year continues but even if not fun time are ahead for the squad. The FO leadership will have to look hard for detractors.

    This is true but at the same age Buxton was 30-40 lbs lighter. This guy has more power and maybe being thicker has more durability.

    I'm going Celestino again! Somebody said he was major league ready in the field. If so we know his bat is not ready but we don't know if he will get hot anyway. Let Kepler only play center part time and put in Celestino here and there, voila! We got a big enough bench

    I am hoping we see a little of Celestino. Maybe his bat is not quite there yet but it could speed things for him and keep Kep focused on one job. Unless he pulls a Polanco or Arraez surprise it's probably unlikely.

    When you hear players such as Plouffe talk about their struggles with Twins coaching it is a testament to him that he doesn't come off as bitter. This team was rock bottom bad for 6 years. An alcoholic who's rock bottom lasts for 6 years is dead. There aren't too many places where an employee with a record like Mr Ryan's keep a job that long. With my limited knowledge at the time it was frustrating to follow. I'm glad I didn't know then what I know now because I might not still be a Twins fan. Alas it is over and I'm also not bitter. A beer tastes much better after a hard go at it and Twins fandom is all the sweeter now after those dark days!

    Heezy, the surgery Richard Hill had was different than these techniques, correct? I'd be interested in having that explained!

    The Twins now have a player with both a pronounced leg kick and long track record of success. Donaldson. Can't hurt Lewis having him around.

    This year if someone gets dinged up I wanna see them sat as long as necessary. If it's Eddie I don't want to see Cave 100% of the time I'd like to see a young guy worked in there. Make lemonade and use your depth!

    What I liked about second base last year was how they played the young hot player and sat the more expensive vet even though he was reasonably good. They also handled the politics of that situation in an exemplary fashion.

    Last year when a win was attainable, sometimes Baldelli would run out Rogers even if he was on fumes. I would rather that a few guys were relied upon to lock it down allowing better pacing of innings. May, Duffey, Rogers and even some Clipboard and Romo. Use the depth.

    Six out of seven years of top five picks should lead to some talent. I never understood the moves made under TR and I don't miss those days. This new group's moves make sense to me and I feel especially excited given how many bad, hopeless years I sat through.

    This whole notion of a number one starter is funny to me. Talking the, say top ten starters in MLB is one thing, that might be an ace. Number one starter could mean the top 30. If that were the case there are many ranking systems and you find Berrios around 24 often, so a low number one. Then you can find Odo, Pineda, Hill and Maeda all in the two range. It could then be argued we have potentially one number one and four number two's. This is overblown, of course, but my point is this is a good staff, people. An improvement over a staff that ranked 3rd by WAR and 4th by FIP in all of MLB last year. If Hill can be pitching by August and we aren't killed by injuries the Twins are formidable and deep. That depth could be used to pace the staff. This team was hollowed out by the time it played the Yankees who had just gotten to full strength. With a little better infield defense Berrios and Odo looked pretty good against the evil empire. Add Donaldson and his defense while allowing Arraez to focus on 2nd base and we could be on to something.

    If Maeda hits 150-175 innings with his escalators I wonder what the Twins payroll would be? I guess it's ok to read those TD Maeda articles now!

    Wishing Brusdar luck I would've enjoyed watching him. I am reluctantly in on the deal and our rotation depth and flexibility. If Maeda is a bullpen weapon in the playoffs for us that means Hill and the rotation are dealing. Could be fun.

    LEN3 has got his finger on the pulse baby! We're in good hands!

    With this latest twist there is a chance we get Maeda for a bat instead of Brusdar and to me that would be the best possible outcome. I would be more than happy to watch our flamethrower's career unfold.

    Glad to have Brusdar back. I have become spoiled the last few days with a bolstered rotation so I look forward to the next move! Kenta Maeda I hardly knew ya

    Everybody has him listed at 6'3" 170. Might have nice frame but needs to bulk up a bit.
