  1. Wish we had him in any role!
  2. 1. Jackson DFA'ed 2. Varland to MLB bullpen 3. Zebby to AAA 4. E-Rod to AAA 5. Cespedes to AA All of the above are when and not if.... so let's move up the timeline of that 'when' please
  3. I overheard this conversation: 'Psst.... our outfield defense is awful.... no pressure or anything but you can't let them hit any balls into the outfield' 'um yeah... and that official scorer is single handedly trying to reduce my first arbitration salary.... side note... what chance do you think that I can land an outlandish salary with the Yankees when I hit free agency?'
  4. THIS... Jay Jackson was not alone responsible for the loss, but he has brought less than zero to the table this year and at age 36, it is not like he has some untapped potential.
  5. Jeffers and Keplers and Larnachs..... Oh My! (honorable mention Miranda and Castro)
  6. Courageous to share part of your story Seth. The brain is the most complex organ in the body and in medicine we know by far the least about it. But, this is NOT an excuse to ignore or minimize it. Nobody would tell someone with symptomatic heart disease to 'tough it out' but that has been the default for physiologic issues in the brain that manifest in depression, anxiety or both. This has been an issue for faaaar too long, but fortunately it is changing.... slowly
  7. Mar-got-to-find-a-replacement. Cannot keep doing this all season. Duran an absolute beast! If he has durability in his career... HOF is not off the table (yeah... I said it!)
  8. There Mar-got-to have been a better option... even internally. But now Rocco and the FO will stick with him waaaaaay to long... because that is what they do.
  9. Great thing about capitalism is that nepotism is eventually costly... even if it takes a few generations. Obviously Pohlad would not be the best choice for his current role if it was selected by merit... His performance is predictable and I for one am not surprised in the least bit
  10. Best article you have ever written Nick and I have read most to include those going back before TD.
  11. What exactly is Jenkins' injury? I feel like his injury and trajectory have not been clearly shared by the club.... or I missed it
  12. was thinking the same thing and then realized that criticizing this 'cool' new term just makes us look like we are screaming at the youngins to get the hell off our lawn :)
  13. Still striking out too much though.... even in AAA... and even by the current standards of the SO happy MLB... still a ways to go but rooting extra hard for our Minnesota native!
  14. Probably good to handle Brock with care given his history and his ability to be dominant down the stretch. We also have had enough depth in the bullpen this year to have the luxury of early intervention for minor injuries
  15. Sounds about right on both accounts. I'm a little worried that Krill is dealing with some sort of injury. If so, a DL trip probably saves Miranda.
