  1. The D was not ready for that sneak.
  2. QB sneaks, field goals inside the five, and punting on your side of the field. This all seems like someone is more worried to look bad on national tv than making the right moves.
  3. Punt? And a touchback? Who is this coach?
  4. Yup. They’re for sure scoring twice. We’ll have to score at least once more.
  5. Apologize to the 49ers, not me.
  6. No targeting call?!?
  7. Cramp. And BS no call.
  8. For sure. Take it at the 25. If they’re not kicking out of the end zone, they’re daring you to run and it’s a trap anyway.
  9. Any Viking who doesn’t graciously accept a fair catch should be fined.
  10. Poor decisions all around now.
  11. It was a great 40 minutes.
  12. Mattison is killing this team.
  13. Tush push with the worst interior line in the league? Move O’Neal and Darrisaw inside if they want to try that.
  14. Ok, that XP will surely cost them the game.
  15. Man, this game is looking fantastic. For the Vikings to dominate for 58 minutes and cough it up on some unlikely fluke at the end.
  16. Purdy had 31 rushing yards all year. Had.
  17. The line should be +14, but somehow, some way, this team always keeps it within one score. Guess I'll take the under because of this very illogical fact.
  18. After the 49ers game, the Vikings absolutely SHOULD win the next six, those are awful teams. But they're more likely to lose all six because with each game, this team has played softer, and softer and that's only going to get worse as the losses pile up. I suppose it's possible they get pumped up solely for the GB rivalry next week and they carry that into the following games. But even if this team runs the table in the regular season, they aren't a legit SB contender, just like they weren't last year.
  19. ************Moderator Note************ The World Series hasn't even started, let's refrain from turning every off season thread into a contentious debate about the Twins finances and payroll situation. This thread is about whether Christian Vazquez is worth 10M. Stay on topic please.
  20. Unless there's other indoor facilities around the state I can't think of, I don't follow this discussion. St. Thomas, Duluth, St. Cloud, Mankato, Moorhead Winona, Morris, all of these college towns have outdoor facilities. All the Dakota schools built indoor facilities, but that would go over with Minnesota fans slightly better than Derek Jeter throwing out the first pitch at Target Field opening day.
  21. I'm Ok moving on from all of them; Gordon can't work a count and is redundant defensively. If he's getting regular playing time in CF, then the organization messed up next year's roster. Alcala has potential, but can't stay healthy and his command seems to get worse every time he comes back. And Luplow, well..... However, these are pretty minor arbitration figures all things considered, so that wouldn't be my determination for removal. My order would go Luplow - Moran - Henriquez - Gordon - Ortega - Sands - Alcala - Winder. Players beyond that I might start to put up a mild rebuttal. Obviously they'd never get rid of that many pitchers, nor should they unless there's an unexpected trade and free agency boon.
  22. So that leaves the team with 35 players subtracting the pending free agents and adding back the 60-day IL guys?
  23. Adler seems most likely to get the GM job should Levine leave, but I'd be interested in an outside hire as well. The biggest problem with the prior front office structure was how insular it was. They almost always hired from within and never brought in new perspective. Even when they did venture from their gene pool, they still brought in similar DNA. It's why the franchise was so stale and couldn't adapt to modern baseball. I guess if they do hire from within, at least fill that person's spot with a fresh new voice.
  24. TK isn't going to get much consideration as his career winning percentage is below .500 and he had 8 consecutive years of losing teams. Not his fault, the payroll and roster building were atrocious after Andy McPhail got hired away. Kelly is my favorite manager of all time, but the national guys will pick the guys who won more and managed longer. Leland and Piniella seem like the two most obvious choices, but those were two of MLB's most surely personalities, and HOF committee voters sometimes make these choices personal if they'd previously been rubbed the wrong way.
